2018 BERKS COUNTY ALL-STAR TEAM
The Berks County American Legion baseball league released its 2018 All-Star Team on Tuesday afternoon, a day before the league playoffs get underway.
In order to be selected, players needed to receive four votes from all of the coaches who were polled around the league.
West Lawn’s Connor Uhrig was selected as the league’s Most Valuable Player while Norchester’s Austin Odell was named the Pitcher of the Year.
Among the 2018 All-Stars are Matt Stevens (Daniel Boone), Andy Blum (Norchester) and Jordan Himmelreich (West Lawn), all of whom were selected as All-Stars last season.
In addition, Stevens, Blum, Jordan Siket (Norchester) and Brad Rutherford (Twin Valley) were selected to the 2017 All-Underclassmen Team last season. Himmelreich was named to the All-Underclassmen Team during the 2016 season.
