PHOENIXVIL­LE » Phoenixvil­le Police responded to 166 calls for service between July 23 and July 30 including nine traffic accidents. The following is a summary of notable incidents as reported by Phoenixvil­le Police:

• On July 23 at 12:10 a.m., police responded to an apartment in the unit block of Gay Street for the report of a disturbanc­e involving a mother and daughter. The daughter reported that her mother was outside the apartment trying to kick the front door in. The mother took off in a black Jeep before the police arrived. Officer Dobry passed the Jeep on Bridge Street and the headlights were off. The officer stopped the Jeep and learned that the mother, 46, of Pottstown, had an expired driver’s license and an expired tag on her Jeep. She was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and a couple traffic tickets.

• On July 23 at 8:04 a.m., police responded to an apartment in the 200 block of Gay Street for a dispute involving two roommates. The caller wanted her roommate evicted because she was drunk and refused to clean up the dog feces on her bedroom floor. Officer Brown provided the caller with informatio­n on the eviction process.

• On July 24 at 3:46 p.m., Sgt. Gold arrested a wanted man in front of his house in the 1000 block of Winding River Lane. Matthew Riddlemose­r, 23, had a Chester County bench warrant and was sent directly to the county jail.

• Officer Dobry saw a couple walking down the middle of Lincoln Avenue near Washington Avenue on July 25 at 7:55 p.m.. As the officer approached, the woman tossed an open can of beer on the ground and kept walking. The 24-year-old Phoenixvil­le woman was issued two summonses- one for littering and the other for the open container ordinance.

• On July 26 at 4:31 p.m., Officer Dobry arrested a wanted woman in the 200 block of Bridge Street. Victoria Davidson had a county bench warrant for her arrest. Davidson was taken into custody and transferre­d to the county jail.

• Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Chester Avenue to check on the welfare of the resident on July 26 at 8:15 p.m. Montgomery County 911 received a call from that address and the dispatcher thought the woman’s speech was slurred and she sounded intoxicate­d. Officers spoke to the resident and learned that she was not wearing her dentureswh­ich likely lead the dispatcher to believe that she sounded drunk.

• On July 27 at 11:04 p.m., police responded to the apartments above the Pickering Creek Inn for the report of a disturbanc­e. The caller reported that his drunken neighbor was yelling and trashing his own apartment. Officers spoke to the 35-year-old neighbor and he was determined to be drunk. The man’s apartment was a wreck and he was warned to keep the noise down and stay in his room.

• On July 27 at 11:52 p.m., Cpl. Place stopped the driver of a Chevy Impala on Route 23 for having an expired tag. The driver, a 28-year-old Spring City woman, chose not to comply with some of those PennDot rules because her car wasn’t inspected or insured. She was issued a few tickets for the violations.

• On July 28 at 12:16 p.m., Sgt. MacIntyre was driving through the municipal parking lot on Church Street and saw the drunken apartment wrecker from the Pickering Creek Inn. The man was standing in the parking lot directing traffic for imaginary cars. He was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• Officer Bryan saw a woman sleeping in the front seat of her Jeep near the intersecti­on of Main Street and High Street on July 28 at 1:02 a.m. The officer checked on the 37-year-old Phoenixvil­le woman to see if she was OK and learned that she fell asleep while she was texting and was fine.

• On July 28 at 2:02 a.m., Officer Stabilo spotted a man peeing in the 200 block of Bridge Street. The 22-year-old Phoenixvil­le man was drunk so he was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• Cpl. Place noticed a man standing over his friend next to a pool of vomit on the Mont Clare Bridge on July 28 at 3:15 a.m. Both men were drunk and could not agree on how they were going to make it home to Royersford. The pair, ages 21 and 31, were arrested for public drunkennes­s and released to a mutual friend at the police station.

• On July 28 at 10:59 a.m., a Schuylkill Township resident reported that she stopped at a yard sale in the 300 block of Virginia Avenue and someone reached into the open window of her car and swiped her iPhone.

• On July 28 at 2:03 p.m., police responded to Tyler Avenue near Monroe Avenue for the report of a car crash. The driver of a Toyota Rav4 reported that a deer ran in front of his car so he swerved to avoid it and rear-ended a parked car.

• Officer Stabilo spotted a man engaging in public urination in the 300 block of Bridge Street on July 29 at 12:44 a.m. The 36-year-old King of Prussia man was also drunk so he was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• On July 29 at 2:00 a.m., Officer Bryan noticed a man staggering in the 200 block of Bridge Street. The 26-year-old Pottstown man was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• On July 29 at 3:05 a.m., Officer Ansaldo observed a drunk man stumbling on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Bridge Street. The 21-year-old Collegevil­le man informed the officer that he was in no shape to be walking. He was arrested for public drunkennes­s and released when he was sober.

• Police responded to the bank of the Schuylkill River by the Mont Clare Bridge for the report of a capsized canoe on July 29 at 1:03 p.m. Cpl. Artz located two people who were stranded on the bridge support pillar. A third person was stranded

on a river island. The officer directed the Friendship Fire Company Dive Unit to the stranded boaters.

• On July 29 at 3:45 p.m., police responded to Molly Maguire’s Pub for the report of an unwanted person. Management reported that they caught a customer engaging in self-gratificat­ion under the bar and flagged him. The 46-year-old man left before the police arrived, but an officer contacted him and told him he was no longer welcome in the establishm­ent.

• On July 30 at 12:01 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Wheatland Street for the report of a woman walking around naked from the waist down. Officer Dutch located the woman

and she was actually wearing running shorts. The 41-year-old resident explained that she took her pants off but had the shorts on underneath and was never in the buff.

• On July 30 at 4:52 p.m., police responded to Lane Avenue Park for the report of a man sitting in his car for over an hour. The man explained that he was doing work on his laptop and enjoying the nice weather.

• On July 30 at 7:45 p.m., a resident in the 300 block of Franklin Avenue called the police because there was a hornet’s nest in the bushes between her house and the neighbor’s

house. The officer referred the woman to an exterminat­or.

• Police responded to PJ Ryan’s Pub for the report of a man acting peculiar in front of the bar on July 30 at 10:48 p.m. The 20-year-old Schuylkill Township man was paranoid and sweating profusely. He told the officers that he had been smoking marijuana and doing LSD earlier in the night. An ambulance took him to Phoenixvil­le Hospital for treatment and he was issued a summons for public drunkennes­s.

• On July 30 at 11:14 p.m., police responded to the Prima Lounge for the

report of a disturbanc­e. A customer reported that the bartender flagged her from the bar and assaulted her while tossing her out. The customer told the officers that she was thrown out for no reason. The bartender confirmed

that the customer was flagged because she was harassing other patrons for money but she denied physically touching her. Officers told the 30-year-old woman she was no longer welcome in the lounge.
