Sharon L. Pugh, formerly of Pottstown

Sharon L. (McAllister) Pugh, RN, age 65, formerly of Pottstown, passed away on July 30, 2018 at her residence in Lehigh Acres, Florida, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Edie and the late Elhanan McAllister on July 1, 1953.

Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband, Joe Pugh, daughter Michelle Catanzaro and husband Tony, daughter Danielle Derecola and fiancée Randy Belanger and three step-sons. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, brother Bob and wife Carol, and sister JoAnn.

Sharon was a graduate of Pottstown High and Washington Hospital Center School of Nursing, Washington, D.C. She worked for many years as a registered nurse at PMMC; most of those years in the operating room.

She and her husband moved to Florida in 1988. Sharon worked as a Director of Surgical Services until her career was cut short due to illness.

She was an avid NASCAR fan, attending the Daytona 500 for over 20 years.

She loved to do needlepoint in her spare time as well as travel when it would fit into her busy schedule.

Sharon was an inspiration to those who knew her and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
