- One Who Listens

I live in Douglass (Mont.) and in my neighborhood there are some empty houses. Nobody cuts the grass, junk sitting around, stinky animals and ticks. I’m wondering what the zoning officer’s job really is. What does he do in a day’s time? He should come to my neighborhood and do his job. I drove around the township the other day and saw other neighborhoods the same way. We the taxpayers should not have to complain like this. Disgusted in Gilbertsville

We see where some parents of the Owen J. Roberts School District want to have us pay more taxes so their darlings can go to school a little bit later. I have a better suggestion, why don’t you put them to bed a little bit sooner and maybe shut the TV off for about an hour before bedtime so they calm down and have about a half hour of prayer time? By the way take a little hint, “Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”

Bob Casey is the worst senator we’ve ever had. He doesn’t care anything about the old people. He does not lower our taxes. He’s so rich he has no idea what it’s like to be poor.

I saw where Fox News was the only network to cover the returns of our American servicemen from Korea but the other networks I guess are too busy showing some cop shooting somebody that’s always innocent or covering something Trump did 10 years ago.

True evil isn’t pro life. Evil supports partial birth abortion. Securing their country isn’t evil. Every person in the White House since the beginning has been a flawed human being and the last administration held a lot of lies and deception. Wake up. Lady Di

If they make the kids go to school later they’re just going to stay up later at night so what’s the sense? You give them an arm and they will take a leg. Those kids should be taught responsibility not to rule the roost. SAS

Donald Trump said you need a photo ID to shop for groceries. Does he think you need a passport to buy Polish sausage and Swiss cheese? Jay Miller

If the town fathers are finished drawing those stupid bike lanes around Pottstown, they sure made a mess out of Beech Street and Jackson Street, how about clearing some of that brush up on the Manatawny banks so you can see the park and the island and what’s going on over there? DV

I hear you people state that Donald Trump lies every day, many times a day. I’d like to know what the lies are.

To those who say Trump is doing what you voted him in for, let’s see, insulting our allies, being duped by North Korean and Russian dictators, separating immigrant children from their families and lying to the American people — just for starters. Is this what you really wanted?

I started to watch Donald Trump’s rally the other night on Fox News then I remembered what he had said a few days before that we should not believe anything we hear or see these days. So I turned him off.

I don’t mind Trump’s man Manafort having an ostrich jacket that cost a small fortune and all the other lavish and extravagant items of his lifestyle. What I do mind is you and I paying for it. So much for Republican Welfare for the rich tax bills. Frattbak

It was amazing to see our pompous, arrogant, insulting president when he was dealing with our friends in NATO. It was amazing to see him purple like a cheap suit when he was dealing with Putin in Helsinki. What a phony.

I think everybody can agree that Mr. Paul Manafort likes his suits. Sharp dresser. I’d like to invite him to come to Pottstown and shop at Weitzenkorn’s. They’ll make him look even better.

I keep hearing the phrase “fake news” and I just want you to know that Adolf Hitler used the same tactic in the 30s to turn the people against the media so that they would listen only to him. This is exactly what’s happening today. Some of the news may be fake but there are more of them than the one fair and balanced Fox. Hal, Spring Mount

Ever notice in Sound Off when a caller is for Trump they are generally more factual and levelheaded whereas the ones against are full of rage and exaggerate more? This hatred is standard operating procedure for liberals with any elected Republican so no matter how good his policy is they will always be against it whether it’s Trump, Bush, Cruz or whoever. Keep the faith. Info Depot
