NORTH COVENTRY » Community Health and Dental Care will hold a Health and Wellness Expo to mark National Health Center Week 2018. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Coventry Mall in the brand new health center next to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The theme is “Super Heroes of all kinds.” There will be free health screenings which include dental, vision and blood pressure. Lots of games, prizes, mascots, food, vendors, music, zumba, giveaways, photo booth, mall discounts and much more.
BOYERTOWN » A Caregiver Resource Group hosted by Chestnut Knoll at Home will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Boyertown Community Library, 24 N. Reading Ave. This beneficial seminar provides community connections and other helpful resources, including home safety tips and senior care payment options; and educational information relating to the care of a loved one living with dementia. It is facilitated by senior care experts from Chestnut Knoll, including Linda Detwiler, LPN, director of Chestnut Knoll At Home. This event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited. Watch will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville. Liaison Officer, Tom Gauby, will give a presentation on domestic violence and discuss recent incidents in the township. A brief meeting will be held, followed by refreshments. The public is invited.
