The Catholic Church should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They should be fined by the federal government for the civil rights abuse of the children. They deliberately turned their heads and let thousands of children be molested by their clergy over years and years. They moved them around so they would not get caught. Imagine if one of these children were yours.

Evan Brandt’s articles on “Nazi” wrestler Kevin Bean should prompt concerned parents to go see Mr. Bean in action, see a show. His “Blitzkrieg” is more like a “Hogan’s Hero” character than anything. Kevin is a kind lovable man. My grandson and I have been fans of his for years. The first time we saw him he was tossed over the ropes and landed next to us and whispered “Are you guys enjoying the show?” Kevin’s students regularly attend his shows. This has never been a secret. I’m wondering whatever happened to the people of Pottstown that were taking care of the Edgewood Cemetery at the corner of Keim and High streets? I had to go down there to visit my parents’ grave the other day and I cannot tell you the disarray — the grass is so long, dry grass is all over the tombstones. I thought they were going to take care of it so that we could be proud of it.

The Democratic National Committee knew Hillary was not the person to run for the election and they did nothing about it. The Republican National Committee knew Donald was not the man to run for office but they were financially and politically embarrassed not to deny him his push for power. Now both parties are in arrears. Only you the voting public can change the situation by voting against incumbents.

Colebrookdale Railroad in Boyertown is presently being used as a transfer station for contaminated soil. It is filled with large blue bins. It looks like there might be parking for about 10 cars if you’re even allowed to park there. Where are the people supposed to park that paid to ride the Secret Valley train from Boyertown to Pottstown and back? What if an elderly couple comes to ride and has trouble walking? I’m sure the owner is making big dollars from this.

I see Omarosa’s book just came out on Aug. 14 and it’s already fifth in the Amazon list and it’s highly recommended. Go out and buy it, good book. Jay Miller

Dear Republicans, it has been confirmed now that Russia broke into voter rolls in 21 states. This is a flat out attack on our very democracy. Trump refuses to implement sanctions on Russia. In just a year Trump has convinced you that the Russians are your friends and the FBI is your enemy. President Trump has promised the American people that he singlehandedly will take care of the outrageous prescription cost increases that are facing the middle class and lower class people in this country. So far what has happened is that he is starting to kill diabetic patients by making sure that they can no longer afford the cost of insulin which is trying to save their lives. If this is a benevolent leader he’ll do something and he’ll do it before the elections.

Jim Fitch, when I read your comment about putting the dog to sleep and he was licking away your tears it really made me cry. It was such a sad, sad statement but so true. They’re faithful all the way to the end and anyone that’s a true animal lover knows that and appreciates them for the wonderful pets they are no matter if it’s a turtle, a bird, whatever you love. If you have a pet and you love it and you have to lose it it’s heartbreaking so my heart goes out to you. Bonnie

Mr. Giuliani, the president’s attorney, in April said he would bring Mueller’s investigation to a close in about two weeks. That was in April, this is August. Another Trump liar. I think a lot of us would be willing to donate money or supplies to the no kill organizations and shelters in memory of Bill Sharon if someone could please call into Sound Off as to where we can do this.
