I was sitting in my car waiting to get out on Swamp Pike at Rosenberry Road. I know the speed limit is 35 mph because I live there. Two trucks go by doing about 60 mph, a tow truck with tandem wheels and another waste dump truck, a big one with tandem wheels from a dump I guess somewhere in Pottstown or Boyertown. Those trucks shouldn’t even be allowed on that road, they should be held to Route 100 and that’s it.

As I walked the Stowe area basically from Grosstown Road down to St. Gabe’s Lodge and church and places in between, I’ve counted at least 16 homes that are up for sale the past month since we got the property taxes. I’ve talked to some people and they’ve said it’s because of the property taxes. So again how many times are we going to ask them in Harrisburg to pass the property tax elimination so people can stay in their homes? —Al

Way to go Democratic Party and that includes all you senators and congressmen and women who openly called for getting rid of ICE and have an open border so anybody can come into this country if they want to. I see where that 20-year-old Iowa student was found dead and now they found out it was an illegal who killed her. Democrats you are almost as responsible for her death as he is. I see where the college kids ripped down a statue of a young boy representing the confederacy. They are so against our history. I know the history is not taught in school like it should be. I guess Col. Sanders is next.

I’m calling about these Chinese lanternflies. They’re all over the neighborhood. When is Pottstown Borough going to do something about it? They need to get out there and spray. This is getting worse.

Yes Mark Furlong every once in awhile some fake news may slip out by the mainstream media but like you mentioned the guilty are usually punished for it but not if you are Donald Trump or Fox News. They do it everyday and nothing is ever done about it. Maybe you should send your comments to them.

I saw on TV a cemetery had a landscaping company mow their cemetery and they destroyed a lot of American flags on the veterans’ graves. That’s probably because they were not English-speaking people and they weren’t from this country and it wasn’t a flag of their country so they didn’t care.

Unemployment is down much more now since Obama’s not president.

I also have been besieged by these lanternflies, so many of them. I went on the internet and they said to use a spray bottle and spray them with Dawn dish soap. I had to add a little bit of water because the Dawn was so thick it wouldn’t go through the sprayer. It does work, it does kill them. It doesn’t keep more from coming but it does kill the ones that you spray with. — Nancy L.

Jay I’m still waiting for you and your other Trumphating buddies to put in Sound Off a good reason why we don’t need a border wall and why sanctuary cities are good. Now we have another beautiful young college student Mollie Tibbetts murdered by an illegal. I want somebody in your group to put something in giving us your argument of why you don’t support a wall or don’t support us. We don’t like sanctuary cities. — Bonnie
