Daniel S. Moritz, age 50, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 23, 2018, with his beloved wife and children by his side after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Dan was born November 12, 1967 in Northeast Philadelph­ia to Shirley and Jack Moritz of Ship Bottom, NJ. He received a degree from Temple University and pursued a career in Informatio­n Technology. He found his profession­al home with Highpoint Solutions as a Senior IT manager.

Dan loved live music and concerts, Philly sports teams, and the Jersey Shore. He passionate­ly supported youth athletics and his beloved E-AG-L-E-S. He coached for Spring-Ford Youth Athletic League and Upper Providence baseball, softball, and basketball for many years. He was the head coach of Kimberton Krush 14U softball travel team. He and his wife were also active members of Nine Oaks Swim and Tennis Club where Dan maintained the website.

Dan was preceded in death by his father Jack Moritz. He is survived by his wife Lynn and two children, Thomas and Samantha. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Moritz, brother Jack and wife Liz, brother Bill, mother and father in-laws Arlene and John Spiess, brother and sister in-law Kurt and Colleen Spiess, sister and brother in-law Janet and Tim Robison, and several nieces and nephews: Michelle Moritz, John Moritz, Stephen Moritz, Justin Moritz, Cara Spiess, Keeley Spiess, Carter Spiess, Rachel Robison, and TJ Robison.

A celebratio­n of Dan’s life will be held with friends and family at the Waterford Greene Clubhouse in Limerick, PA on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Visitation will be from 1 - 4 pm. The family asks that visitors bring a favorite memory or picture of Dan to share with his family.
