S. Thomas “Bondi” Bondola, 95, widower of Agnes (Konowal) Bondola of Cherry St., Pottstown, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Seasons Hospice, Pottstown.

Born in Pottstown he was a son of the late John and Susan (Tarchanik) Bondola.

He was employed as a template maker by the Bethlehem Steel Corp. and later by Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in the Housekeepi­ng Dept.

He was a WW II Army veteran of the Third Army Yankee Division 104th Regiment and received a Purple Heart and was a Prisoner of War for seven months.

He was a 1941 graduate of Pottstown High School, a Ward Councilman for Pottstown South End from 1954 to 1955; He coached Pottstown Little League Baseball and was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church.

Surviving are daughters Susan Nesley and Marie Lummen and a son John Bondola. Grandchild­ren Valerie wife of Christophe­r Sununu, Nicholas Bondola and wife Christine, Jennifer wife of Matthew Armstrong, Charles J. Nesley III and wife Laura, Erin wife of Justin DiLisio, Meredeth wife of Matthew Baekelandt and Amy Lummen. Fifteen Great Grandchild­ren. Pre-deceased by brothers Joseph, John and Michael Bondola and sisters Mary Vance and Elizabeth Gurba.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home 726 High St. Pottstown. Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Pottstown.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to St. John’s Church Building Fund 301 Cherry St. Pottstown, PA 19464.
