I googled it and there’s 24,304 jobs available in Pottstown yet you’d never know it. I see a lot of people sitting on porches, walking around town all day doing nothing. Not everybody’s on unemployment.

In a recent Fox News poll 59 percent support the Mueller investigation. That’s a Fox News poll. —Jay Miller

I’ve live in Pottstown for 75 years. It’s always been a nice clean little town but within the past 10 years or so it has really changed. There’s grass growing out of the curbs, the sidewalks, the tree wells and they don’t kill it off at the roots, they just weed wack it and it comes back faster. Then the ones who do clean up their property have to keep cleaning weeds also. It doesn’t make sense why they don’t do something about this. I would appreciate some help. —The Golden Ager

Hey North Coventry, now that East Meadowbrook Road is a thruway to get to routes 724 and 422, maybe we could pave the road since it has a thousand patches already. Look into it please. Send the road crew out and check it out and please resurface the road.

The law system for Meek Mill and the rest of you lets you get away with no prison time. You make real Americans sick and disgusted. The justice system with its favoritism lets you guys out of jail but if you’re a regular person you don’t get the same treatment. Meek Mill, you belong in jail.

I was just somewhere shopping and somebody had said something derogatory. Unless you have the facts about somebody, I mean literal paper facts, don’t go around talking about somebody and gossiping or trying to persuade other people to do different things.

Somebody said in Sound off about the governor and the taxes that they’re not doing anything for the school taxes and whatever. I have a number for the governor’s office 1-717787-2500. If we bombard them and keep calling them and everybody would get together maybe we would get an answer. He doesn’t even have the guts to get on TV or put something in the newspapers about what he’s trying to do but he’s doing everything else. —Joanne

I was watching the news on Channel 3 and they’re giving out all these backpacks to the kids and who do they have, making a star out of him? Meek Mill. What kind of a message are you sending to the kids? The way that guy violated the law and they’re making a hero out of him, that’s sending the wrong message to the kids.

If declarations to make abortion “safe, legal and rare” are sincere, Planned Parenthood and NARAL should promote the upcoming PG-13 film, “Gosnell.” Similarly, with parental permission, school administrators should consider viewings by students. Like the Parkland shootings, Gosnell atrocities were the product of systemic institutional failure for which there has been scant accountability. —Mark Furlong

As always the minority of parents rules at Spring-Ford School District. Shame on you and the Spring-Ford School Board for shaming a teacher and denying that teacher extra income for his family.

The left and the media are hellbent to prove Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election but the truth is the media in Washington are colluding against the president to steal the White House from him. And now they are using the liberal courts to aid in their sinister plots. The swamp is much deeper and darker than even Trump knew. —Keep America Free

Could somebody please tell us how to get rid of bees? My neighbor has a great big bee nest and my son has one back the road from us. We don’t know how to get rid of them. We’ve called everybody and nobody knows how we can get rid of them. They’re going through the house.

Something I learned in the seventh grade civics class, all things are not black and white and black and white thinking is erroneous thinking. All Democrats are not corrupt and all Republicans are not corrupt but there are corruptions on both sides. On the other hand not everybody’s the same either because all politicians being corrupt is not true, some are more corrupt than others. So we have to be discerning.

I just went to the new restaurant The Bel Air right outside of Boyertown, a little bit on north Route 100 before Bechtelsville. A great place, really clean, nice atmosphere. I had a great burger, real good service. Pretty neat place, brand new.

People know I do not support Trump, I think he’s bad but I also blame Hillary for dividing our nation. She never should’ve been allowed by the Democratic Party to run for office. Why did they let her do it? Did she pay somebody off? That’s the question I’m asking. —Night Light
