With a history of discriminating against Jewish applicants, Harvard is now being sued for discrimination against Asians deemed less likable, courageous and kind. On average, Asian applicants surpass whites, Hispanics and blacks by 140,270 and 450 points, respectively, on combined SATs. Blatant bigotry in academia should not be rewarded with public funding, including that for research. —Mark Furlong

This message is for the Democratic Party and it has to do with how two-faced they really are. They are complaining that the president cancelled the pay raise for the workers. Well under then Gov. Rendell and it still continues under Gov. Wolf, Pennsylvania state workers are still under a pay freeze. What’s up with that?

Responding to the caller who claims that teachers are making the same amount as anybody working a full time job, they’re not working a full time job. I just wish my employer would pay me the same type of wages and benefits and have the same amount of time off a year as they do.

After reading the commentary by Dana Milbank, I see that he’s as dangerous and as violent as Donald Trump himself. —Fact

Teachers can’t pretend to be a character in a wrestling organization or I guess a certain character in a play says the Spring-Ford parents. Next we will be burning books.

To the caller who said the stench from the treatment plant smells like crap, while those trucks driving into the plant are sometimes called honey dippers what they are hauling is not sweet but actually is crap. — Jim Fitch

I think it is sad that family members have to jump through hoops to get answers about the condition of the patient being taken care of in a hospital or nursing facility. Some carry the HIPPA law to the extreme. —A Caregiver That Knows

Many people including myself have said it many times over and I’m wanting to say it again. Congress decided that two terms for a president was enough and yet they themselves can be re-elected until they die and then sometimes after they die or go to prison. This is to the person who criticized Tiger Woods and what has he done in the last year. Well the last six months he’s won $3.6 million. I guess you’re just jealous because you can’t make a fraction of that much.

To the individual concerned with priests being able to be married, they would have to be heterosexual to begin with. Being married does not stop pedophiles and child abuse. Their issues are with their sexual orientation and they try to escape the issue rather than deal with the issue. Maybe they shouldn’t be priests to begin with.

When you hear the tributes and the accolades for Sen. John McCain, a true American hero, and then you consider who resides in the White House, don’t we feel cheated? I know I do.

For those clamoring for general-area spraying against the spotted lanternflies, be aware that unlike mosquitoes there is no selective spray for these insects. A general purpose spray would kill everything including beneficial pollinators like honey bees and butterflies. It will not and should not happen. —A Responsible Citizen

To the person that wants old fashioned candy, take Route 61 North, go past Cabelas to the next town, Port Clinton. On the left hand side is a place called the Peanut Shop. It has pennant flags outside hanging. You can find all the candy on your list right in there. —LP

For Just Get Over It, you are wrong that the Manafort investigation is just about a 2005 tax case. Paul Manafort is up to his eyeballs with Russians and much of his contacts happened during the Trump campaign. You watch too much Fox News.

To the person complaining about the wall as $10 billion not being paid by Mexico, what would you rather have, a one-time bill of $10 billion or an annual bill of $116 billion keeping these illegals over here paying for their rent and everything else that us Americans have to pay for twice, for our use and for them as freeloaders? Think about that. Where’s your priorities? —Mike M.

I think I’ve heard everything now. I understand that we have an individual in the White House performing as if he’s actually the leader of this country. Tell me that there is no truth to the rumor that he is authorized to research into the repeal of the Emancipation Proclamation. This man is totally imbalanced.

After one evening of about 10 commercials for drugs they tell you to go see your family doctor about it and one of the first things they tell you is if you are allergic to it, don’t take it.
