Emmet J. Wean of Pottstown

Emmet J. Wean, 93, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. He was the husband of Rose (Dise) Wean with whom he shared 30 years.

Born in Muir, PA, on March 5, 1925, Emmet was a son of the late Elmer and Eva (Romberger) Wean.

Emmet enjoyed going to yard sales early in the morning, shopping at Jake’s Flea Market and Cabela’s, and spending time working in his garden and lawn. Each year he looked forward to taking a bus trip to Atlantic City with his daughter, Faye on his birthday.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Faye Saladino, wife of Joseph; one granddaughter, Rachel Saladino-Gantert; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ryan.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Rachel (Famous) Wean; and his siblings, Elmer, Claire, Dale, Ben, and Eleanor.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the mausoleum.
