For eight years President Obama was blaming President George Bush for the bad economy. Now that the economy has turned around under President Trump, Obama’s taking credit for it. I think he’s been eating too many of those bad lunches from Michelle.

I’m a Pottstown resident and I read The Mercury everyday and whoever does the cartoon Marmaduke, it is so great. That person has a wonderful talent and keep up with the good work because I could be down or I can be sad but when I read that it makes me laugh. Just keep putting them in The Mercury every day because they are great. God bless and hope to see a new one every day.

I’m calling in regards to the tax rate that’s coming next year. It’s ridiculous. Why does the school administrator need all these assistants? If he or she can’t do the job get rid of them and get somebody who can. Assistants, maybe one, but not four. It’s ridiculous. —Disgusted in Pottstown

Trump rushed the Kavanaugh issues, this is why the Democrats are so upset. I can’t say that I blame them. Of course Trump is an untrustworthy person.

I was watching the Phillies game and every time they go out to the mound to talk to the pitcher, there’s always two or three guys patting the pitcher on the butt. If the pitcher was a woman would they do that, and if they did, how many games would they play before there was a sexual harassment charge brought? —Just Curious

I’m sorry I offended someone who pays for the school lunches. There are so many people in this town on Welfare. One couple I know on Welfare are doing better than I am and I worked all my life. Seniors get no help. —BB The Clinton email scandal isn’t going away especially as Mrs. Clinton refuses to answer key questions about her conduct. A hearing has been set in a federal district court for Oct. 11, 2018, to compel email testimony from Hillary Clinton per Judge Emmet G. Sullivan. The dominoes are falling. —Dr. Jimbo

E. Coli is a bacteria found in the guts of warmblooded mammals like humans. Mosquitoes won’t give you E. Coli like some reader mentioned. They don’t carry it since mosquitoes are coldblooded, but thanks for the laugh.

Bob Woodward wrote books on nine presidents and was never called a liar until Donald Trump came along. So one of the greatest authors in history who also wrote about President Nixon at the time is making everything up in his book which is called “Fear: Trump in the White House.” How sad.

To the person in Sound Off who thinks that Trump did something for the EPA that the air quality is so much better like it was before God put man on earth, well you ought to look around with the way the atmosphere is behaving with this crazy weather and all sorts of things thanks to man polluting the air. He’s polluting his own nest so to speak. Good luck with Trump’s EPA changes.

To Jim Dandy, you said about Clinton, they didn’t raid his office. Yeah they didn’t raid George Washington’s office for cheating on Martha either. Give me a break.

A thank you to Clark S. Kent for understanding the plight that millions of Catholics are having to endure. Our faith is being tested and prodded but with prayer and understanding from people like Clark, we will survive. —Martha If Serena Williams is a professional athlete she certainly doesn’t act like one. With the heated argument on the tennis court, you’ve got to be kidding me, she smashes her racket. If she was winning she wouldn’t be saying any of that, but she was losing and she got mad. What a crybaby. Quit the game honey, it’s over.

The Phillies are a joke. They need to get rid of the coach. The third base coach did wonderful with the bunch of guys up at Reading. He should be the coach before another team hires him. It’s getting ridiculous.

To all the area people who once had good manufacturing jobs and are now angry with Nike because of their support of an athlete, where were you when Nike was the leader in moving clothing manufacturing and tens of thousands of jobs to Asia? —A Concerned Senior Citizen Mr. Trump claimed he had trouble staying awake during President Obama’s speech. I get it. Mr. Obama has a command of the English language far exceeding Mr. Trump’s sixth grade comprehension. Mr. Trump simply did not understand him. —Frattbak

Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile. The one thing that makes me sad is that I can’t remember ever giving my pop a hug. —Jim Fitch
