Take a look at what friends and neighbors are saying about local hot topics and join in on the conversation.

So now we have two more accusations against Brett Kavanaugh which are even more preposterous and depraved than the original one. So here’s your choice folks. In November you can vote for the party of politics of personal destruction, character assassination, mob rule, fear and intimidation or you can vote for the party that operates through reason, debate and due process of legislation and law. Your choice.

In the 1950s the spineless Republicans cowered before Sen. McCarthy who charged anyone who disagreed with him as a communist or traitor which destroyed their lives forever. And today the Republican senior leadership is turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated accusations to anyone who disagrees. The parallels are powerful and disturbing. Trump is destroying our democracy. —Clark S. Kent

Hopefully the voters are seeing through the sick circus Dianne Feinstein is conducting, the same Feinstein who so rigorously defended Bill Clinton, one of the biggest sexual predators of our time.

This is to Captain America. When a woman reports a man’s bad behavior, it’s not the woman, it’s the bad behavior of the man that ruined the man’s life. —Jay Miller

Just a thought, Kavanaugh’s accuser said she needs more time to testify. I guess 36 years wasn’t enough.

OK Sen. Mensch, Reps. Hennessey and Quigley, don’t forget about House Bill 76, that property tax issue. You seem to work on getting everything else passed. Let’s work on the property tax issue. Give the seniors a break. Be selling my house soon. —A Senior

I would like to know when they’re going to arrest some of these Democrat women especially someone like Maxine Waters who’s inciting riots. Anybody else that would do that they’d be sitting in jail. Those women, you can name almost all of them in the Democratic Party that are mouthing off all the time. They’re all inciting people to go out and do stuff that’s going to be against the law.

I live in Boyertown and I see some of our local senators and representatives, Mr. Quigley was one of them, they get Pottstown grant money for them but they’re screwing the people where they really live. They’re not doing anything for the seniors and the taxes. Seniors come on, get the government phone numbers and start bombarding them. Call them. Please do something. If we get together maybe we can help a little bit. —Joanne In regards to all this discussion about Judge Kavanaugh, I would like to remind people, “He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone.”

I see they’re re-doing the tennis courts at the Maple Street Park but it also would be nice if they would put either a spray park or maybe a dog park in the back there. That would be great.

This is about the groundhog. Get a Have-A-Heart trap and relocate him. Any hardware store has them. Been there and done that more than once.

I just read where they want to create a new law for extending time spent for DUI related fatalities. However in Montgomery County a cop for DUI fatality is only given three months in jail. How fair is that? That’s not right.

I was wondering if somebody could please tell a Pottsgrove School District bus that there is a speed limit on the roads that she travels usually 25 mph, at most 35 mph. When I’m travelling 25 mph following her she is pulling away from me at a great speed far faster than 25 mph because I’m doing 25 and she’s zipping away from me easily doing 35 or 45 mph with children on the bus. She needs to slow down.

To the man who was walking along River Road on Sunday morning around 11 a.m. for your own safety you should wear something light, a light shirt or something because all your clothes were black. At the sharp curve in those dark trees you blended right in and I really didn’t see you until I was right next to you almost.

To the person looking for a way to get rid of groundhogs, don’t waste your time and money with mothballs. The best way I found is to trap them or shoot them.

Does anyone know if there is a provision in Roe vs. Wade prohibiting federal funds to pay for abortions? If so where does the funding come from as liberals are reluctant to support any program they have to pay for. —Scully

To the person inquiring about the Decades channel, I use the converter box for TV service and you can get the Decades channel on 3.2. I hope that helps.
