Frederick George Hanson

Frederick George Hanson, 84, of Limerick, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 in the Seasons Hospice surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 8, 1934 in Northville, Michigan, he was a son of the late Walter and Frances (Williams) Hanson.

At the age of 17 ,Fred served proudly for the U.S. Army during the Korean War; after returning home Fred became a well know Insurance Agent in the Royersford community.

Fred was very involved in the community, he was a past member of the SpringFord Country Club, a past member of the Spring-Ford Rotary, and would dedicate his time to many SpringFord football games where he was a statistics keeper for the team, and also was very generous when it came to supporting local charities.

Fred was also an avid golfer and in his spare time you could always find him at many of the local courses.

Mr. Hanson is survived by one daughter, Robin Swartzentruber of Royersford, PA; one son, Frederick R. Hanson, of Limerick; Four Granddaughters, Lisa Siu, Kristin Landis, Kelli Adam, and Kendra Marano; one grandson, Brett Swartzentruber; and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Frederick was preceded in death by his three sibling, Nancy, Jean, and Jack.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Royersford United Methodist Church, 380 Church Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00 am. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday at the church. The burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
