Eleanore Hudick of North Coventry

Eleanore (Bechtel) Hudick, 96, of North Coventry, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health. She was the wife of the late George H. Hudick with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.

Born in Pottstown, PA, on January 19, 1922, Eleanore was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Whitby) Bechtel.

Eleanore was a lifelong member of Zion’s United Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member and past Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth.

She is survived by one daughter, Jill Hudick, wife of Karl, Pottstown, PA; and one son, Van Hudick, husband of Angela, Pottstown, PA; and three grandchildren, Kortne, Kyle, and Katie.

She is predeceased by her siblings, Esther “Becky” Hudick, John “Son” Bechtel, Charles “Chas” Bechtel, and Dorothy “Dot” Bechtel.

A viewing will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanore’s memory to Zion’s UCC, 209 Chestnut St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
