Route 422 lane closures planned near Pottstown
LOWER POTTSGROVE >> Route 422 motorists will encounter lane closures in both directions beginning this week.
The closures are scheduled for construction activities on a project to rebuild 1.6 miles of Route 422 and construct new structures over the Schuylkill River and Norfolk Southern railroad tracks in Lower Pottsgrove Township, PennDOT announced. The work schedule is: • Monday, October 8, Tuesday, October 9, Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound Route 422 between the Keim Street and Sanatoga interchanges;
• Monday, October 8, Tuesday, October 9, Thursday, October 11, and Friday, October 12, from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges;
• Monday, October 8, through Friday, October 12, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., alternating left and right lane closures are scheduled on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Route 724 interchanges;
• Wednesday, October 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the left lane is scheduled to close on eastbound Route 422 between the Keim Street and Sanatoga interchanges;
• Wednesday, October 10, from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the left lane is scheduled to close on westbound Route 422 between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges; and
• Thursday, October 11, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on eastbound Route 422 between the Keim Street and Sanatoga interchanges.
