While our legislature and governor deserve credit for ignition interlock legislation, DUI fatalities linked to marijuana are surpassing those tied to alcohol in states where the former has been legalized. Without ignition interlock devices for marijuana detection, no consideration whatsoever should be given to its legalization in Pennsylvania for recreational use. —Mark Furlong

I sympathize with all Democrats dealing with the actions of their party, but I commend Sen. Collins’ bravery. She followed the law of innocence and not the sound of the roar. — Martha

Who’s running this country, the president or George Soros? Soros should be stopped and locked up inciting riots, paying for Antifa and the rioters and for Mrs. Ford’s fake allegations. —L. Fox

When it comes to people running for re-election, I look at it as if you hire an attorney and he doesn’t represent you to your liking you don’t retain him any longer. These people who want to be re-elected we’ve told them over and over again about property tax elimination. Some of them have been in there for many terms and it hasn’t happened so as far as retaining them for another term I think we should vote them out. What do you think?

In response to Steve Nissle, it is a scary time for everyone in America. When you are charged guilty with no evidence with a mob mentality it is scary for all. The lawless left has shouted for violence against the opposing side. The paid protesters and anarchists aren’t the Trump supporters. —Lady Di

It now appears that King Trump has taken control of all three branches of government, unprecedented in U.S. history and really frightening. It’s time for all voters, especially women, to rise up and defeat the Republican candidates on election day and begin the process of dethroning this monster. —One Who Is Really Scared

We have been registered Democrats for many years. Our parents were Democrats but the last few years the Democrats turned socialist. The Kavanaugh dirty tricks swayed us. We are changing to Republican. —BND from Bechtelsville

I’m not voting for any of these candidates who are so inconsiderate that they cannot put on the screen whether they are Republican or Democrat.

To all you phony Democrats calling in to announce your change of party affiliation because of the treatment of “poor Brett Kavanaugh,” I believe you are part of a scam to influence readers of this column. Even if you are Democrats you probably voted Republican for years. In any case take a hike and good riddance.

This is directed at the YWCA in Pottstown. Now that the two houses next to your property have been awarded to you to be torn down plus the garage out back, let’s get on it OK? Let’s not wait for a grant. Let’s start getting some people to volunteer to knock it down. Let’s just get ‘er done. This isn’t the Stone Age people, let’s go.

My wife and I are Democrats and we are absolutely outraged by what the Democrats did to Justice Kavanaugh. It’s beyond the pale and you know what? We’re voting straight Republican this November and we can’t wait to do it. We are voting straight Republican, you should too.

Susan Collins saved Trump’s butt but she threw the rest of America under the bus. What goes around comes around.

In the interest of the upcoming elections it would seem only appropriate that all of the major networks cease and desist from covering the dumb Donald political rallies that he hosts unless they’re going to give equal time to every single Democratic candidate that he is lambasting. This man is an absolute utter disgrace to the United States of America. God help us.

To Bothered and Bewildered, I agree with your comment 100 percent. You know the only thing worse than the parties running this country are the people that support them. What we need is an independent party. Let’s get this party started.

This is to JCS. President Clinton had sex with a girl out of marriage and as far as I know that’s not illegal. Kavanaugh was accused of rape, never proven, but they swept that under the rug. Rape is against the law.

Lady Di, the thought of you praying for me to open my eyes and ears to Donald Trump’s truth would be awfully funny if it wasn’t so terribly sad. And exactly what violence from the liberal left are you talking about?

After the story last week that identified Trump as a financial fraud, attorneys general in every state where Trump owns property opened an investigation. It’s going to be a bad year for Donald. He may have to sell a lot of his properties off just to pay the taxes, fees and penalties. —Jay Miller
