Reading Ave. Join Chestnut Knoll At Home, Gilbertsville, and speaker Karen Strother for a presentation featuring “Tips on Home Safety,” which focuses on making a home environment “senior friendly.” Learn tips to make life easier as your loved one continues to reside safely at home. PHOENIXVILLE >> On October 18, 2018 The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy will be holding its annual Benefit Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 18, at RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve. This event is the Conservancy’s largest fundraiser and helps the Conservancy to continue its mission of conserving and protecting our land and water resources. The evening will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, wine ring toss, buffet dinner, environmental awards presentation and the Perki-Bay Expedition flag presentation.

AMITY >> Amity Township Crime Watch will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 548 Old Swede Road, Douglassville. Guest speaker will be from ProShred Security and will talk about security of documents, adhering to laws and ProShred’s commitment in ensuring the confidentially of your documents. ProShred has been used in Amity for 12 years.
Crime Watch Liaison Officer Thomas M. Gauby, Jr. will be giving a presentation for parents and children on Halloween Safety and will answer questions during and after the presentation followed by refreshments. The public is invited.
NORTH COVENTRY >> West-Mont Christian Academy, 873 S. Hanover St., will host its annual Homecoming and Silent Auction events on Friday, Oct. 12. From 3 to 5 p.m. there will be free games and activities for children including face painting, balloon animals, carnival games, and a moon bounce. Throughout the evening, Chickfil-A, soft pretzels, hot drinks, and other food will be available to purchase beginning at 3 p.m.. Soccer and Volleyball games will begin at 3:45 p.m. and will continue until 7 p.m., when Varsity Soccer will play under the lights.
The Silent Auction Fundraiser will be held in the middle/high school lobby from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will be able to bid on over 50 various items.
