To the person looking where they could do some community service try the Pottstown Cluster on the corner of Franklin and King streets. I did some there a few years ago.

Yes we have an election coming up but we do have a big problem. Those running don’t seem to be of any value. Each one claims the other one is wrong or guilty of something. So I’m going to have to not vote for but vote against. Clean sweep. Drain the swamp, that’s what the man said and that includes him too. —Starlight

How ironic, how hideously ironic, all these women on Mr. Soros’ money were all over Washington, D.C., this past weekend screaming about that horrible Mr. Kavanaugh and how horrible he was to women without a word of proof of him having done anything. Meanwhile they’re not caring about the most neglected group of women the unborn who they’re all in favor of letting them be killed. What colossal hypocrisy.

The other morning I spotted a box turtle along the road as I was travelling east on Route 422. Ironically the turtle was moving faster than my line of traffic. — Jim Fitch

I read the commentary by E.J. Dionne. Congratulations Mr. Dionne it’s the first sensible, well written, here it is in black and white, explanation of what just happened to the Supreme Court.

The Republican Party rules Pennsylvania but yet they continuously blame the Democrats for the failure of House Bill 76. Give me a break.

This is what happened to Pottstown. I remember cruising High Street as a kid. Everyone was out on High Street. It was popping. Look what happened when they put in the ridiculous parking. Now it was down to one lane, they stopped cruising and nobody went into Pottstown. So now they want to host car shows to bring cruisers back to Pottstown? Ridiculous.

I see where our glorious president is calling the accusations of drunken sexual assault against Kavanaugh a hoax perpetrated by the Democrats. Actually it seems rather that Trump is a hoax perpetrated by the Republicans. —One Who Knows

This is to the person who stated that the Democrats also share responsibility for not getting property tax reform passed. I totally agree. The governor and his lieutenant governor equally share in the blame. All I know is that my state reps are Toepel, Quigley and Hennessey and my state senators are Rafferty and Mensch and they’re the five people that I can put my finger on right now who represent me who are not getting the job done.

Why is Sarah Bloomquist on Channel 6 dressed predominantly in black? We know that the Disney people dictate how the women should dress but why is she so rarely seen in colors? Is that for religious reasons? Is she in mourning? Or perhaps she thinks that black makes her look thinner?

Trump should not be saying he is speaking on behalf of the USA when he apologized to Kavanaugh. More than half of the American people disagree with what he says and does so no I’m not apologizing to the sexual predator. Speak for yourself Trump.

I want to know when the West Pottsgrove commissioners are going to get along with the police department and start doing what they have to?

Kudos to the Owen J. Roberts High School marching band on their outstanding performance at the cavalcade on Saturday night. Many congratulations to Mr. Mengel on his 25th year at OJR. He is truly an exceptional teacher and person. —May The Force Be With OJR

I am so tired of the political banter breeding hatred back and forth in Sound Off. Please stop the political posts. Enough is enough.

Thirty-five years I have mowed a lot near my house, not my property. In 2018 overcome by heat and old age I couldn’t do it and I got cited. The mayor calls mowing the cemetery a good deed. So in Pottstown you die and they cut your grass? Yes. —Bruce Madara

I just finished listening to Neil Diamond’s hit record “Coming to America.” It reminded me of the way the rest of the world used to think of the United States and I got to wonder will they ever feel that way about us again? America was great very recently, it isn’t now.
