UGI Heat­ing, Cool­ing & Plumb­ing ex­tends its reach

Ser­vice area now in­cludes more of Mont­gomery and Ch­ester coun­ties

UGI Heat­ing, Cool­ing & Plumb­ing of­fers ser­vices that cover res­i­den­tial fur­naces, boil­ers, wa­ter heaters, cen­tral air con­di­tion­ing, duct­less so­lu­tions, wa­ter treat­ment sys­tems and clean air so­lu­tions. The com­pany, which is a sis­ter com­pany to UGI Util­i­ties, has been op­er­at­ing for more than 100 years.

“We saw the po­ten­tial for ex­pan­sion in the area. We have a great ser­vice pro­gram and a great rep­u­ta­tion with our cus­tomers,” said Stacy Lord, gen­eral man­ager, UGI Heat­ing, Cool­ing and Plumb­ing, adding the com­pany will be ded­i­cat­ing re­sources to­ward grow­ing the cus­tomer base and shar­ing in­for­ma­tion with po­ten­tial cus­tomers.

The newly ex­panded ser­vice area in­cludes Ch­ester­brook, Ch­ester Springs, Down­ing­town, Ex­ton, Honey Brook, Phoenixville, Uwch­lan, West Ch­ester, Pottstown, Col­legeville, Lim­er­ick, Sanatoga, Sch­wenksville and Val­ley Forge. Ad­di­tion­ally, the com­pany’s call cen­ter is lo­cated in Ex­ton.

The com­pany has in the past ser­viced sev­eral hun­dred cus­tomers in the two coun­ties with re­pairs and ser­vice agree­ments, ac­cord­ing to Lord. That com­pares with about 8,000 cus­tomers through­out the rest of the Read­ing Ser­vice Area, which in­cludes Berks and a por­tion of Schuylkill coun­ties.

“Our motto of ‘we live here and

work here’ ex­em­pli­fies our be­lief that our cus­tomers are our neigh­bors. Given that we have em­ploy­ees who live in the Mont­gomery and Ch­ester county ar­eas, it seems like a nat­u­ral pro­gres­sion for us to of­fi­cially ex­pand our ser­vices to cover that ter­ri­tory,” Lord said.

She added that while UGI Heat­ing, Cool­ing & Plumb­ing rec­og­nized the po­ten­tial in the area, the com­pany did not want to rush its ex­pan­sion plans.

“We wanted to make sure we were aligned in­ter­nally, had the right re­sources to ser­vice cus­tomers and make sure we were poised in­ter­nally for growth,” she said. “We want to grow as a com­pany, but we don’t

want to just set equip­ment and leave the cus­tomer be­hind. Our goal is to de­velop a re­la­tion­ship with our cus­tomers.”

Lord said bill­boards will be go­ing up in the area, emails will be sent to cus­tomers the com­pany has served in the past and rep­re­sen­ta­tives will be talk­ing with de­vel­op­ments in the area about the com­pany’s ser­vices.

In ad­di­tion to HVAC sales and ser­vice, res­i­dents of Ch­ester and Mont­gomery coun­ties now have the abil­ity to pur­chase the UGI Ad­van­tage Ser­vice Agree­ment, a com­pre­hen­sive ser­vice con­tract that of­fers cov­er­age for both parts and la­bor for home heat­ing and cool­ing sys­tems, wa­ter heaters, and in­te­rior nat­u­ral gas lines.

UGI Heat­ing, Cool­ing & Plumb­ing serves 15 coun­ties in east­ern and cen­tral Penn­syl­va­nia.
