READING >> UGI Heating, Cooling & Plumbing is expanding its reach to include more areas in Chester and Montgomery counties.

UGI Heating, Cooling & Plumbing offers services that cover residential furnaces, boilers, water heaters, central air conditioning, ductless solutions, water treatment systems and clean air solutions. The company, which is a sister company to UGI Utilities, has been operating for more than 100 years.

“We saw the potential for expansion in the area. We have a great service program and a great reputation with our customers,” said Stacy Lord, general manager, UGI Heating, Cooling and Plumbing, adding the company will be dedicating resources toward growing the customer base and sharing information with potential customers.

The newly expanded service area includes Chesterbrook, Chester Springs, Downingtown, Exton, Honey Brook, Phoenixville, Uwchlan, West Chester, Pottstown, Collegeville, Limerick, Sanatoga, Schwenksville and Valley Forge. Additionally, the company’s call center is located in Exton.

The company has in the past serviced several hundred customers in the two counties with repairs and service agreements, according to Lord. That compares with about 8,000 customers throughout the rest of the Reading Service Area, which includes Berks and a portion of Schuylkill counties.

“Our motto of ‘we live here and

work here’ exemplifies our belief that our customers are our neighbors. Given that we have employees who live in the Montgomery and Chester county areas, it seems like a natural progression for us to officially expand our services to cover that territory,” Lord said.

She added that while UGI Heating, Cooling & Plumbing recognized the potential in the area, the company did not want to rush its expansion plans.

“We wanted to make sure we were aligned internally, had the right resources to service customers and make sure we were poised internally for growth,” she said. “We want to grow as a company, but we don’t

want to just set equipment and leave the customer behind. Our goal is to develop a relationship with our customers.”

Lord said billboards will be going up in the area, emails will be sent to customers the company has served in the past and representatives will be talking with developments in the area about the company’s services.

In addition to HVAC sales and service, residents of Chester and Montgomery counties now have the ability to purchase the UGI Advantage Service Agreement, a comprehensive service contract that offers coverage for both parts and labor for home heating and cooling systems, water heaters, and interior natural gas lines.

UGI Heating, Cooling & Plumbing serves 15 counties in eastern and central Pennsylvania.
