It is nice to see Trump trying to clean up the oceans of garbage from other countries washing up on our shores but at the same time he’s letting American corporations pollute our streams and rivers by doing away with environmental pollution restrictions on those corporations. I feel it is very important to keep all of our waters clean. How many readers have been forced to hook up with public water after their wells have been polluted by local business?

This is to the person that was complaining about Melania Trump and illegal immigrants’ children being put in prisons at the border. They weren’t prisons, they were shelters that had fences around them. Wake up already.

I can’t even seem to forget the hate on the faces, the hate in their voices, of the Democratic speakers at the hearing for Justice Kavanaugh. They surely were worse than Judge Judy has portrayed on TV.

Janet, Janet, Janet from the Giant, kudos to you. They were just beautiful flowers that you made for my mother who has cancer and it was her birthday. She cried and said they were the most beautiful flowers she’s ever seen. She was so thrilled with them and everybody loved them. I just want to let everybody know that you do a beautiful wonderful job on making flowers at Giant in Upland Square. So I say thanks again.

I’ve lived in Pottstown quite a long time and I’m a homeowner here too, and I’m concerned about the town with all these Welfare freebies that Pottstown gives out. It doesn’t say much about the town except this is the place to come if you want to get free stuff. They really need to start changing this town around. It’s really bad.

To those who are criticizing the protesters, do you remember the Tea Party? Tea Partiers disrupted public meetings not allowing anyone they disagreed with to speak. They marched on Washington toting their guns and racist signs. They even spit on Congress members. They were founded and funded by the Koch Brothers to promote their corporate profits.

Responding to Jay Miller, I find it incredibly heartening that you’re worried about my 401(k) and, you know something, it’s looking pretty darn good. As far as the car prices go I’ve been on the lots now for about three weeks looking around and the prices are the same as they were three weeks ago. But anyway thanks for your thoughtful consideration and maybe someday you’ll get your facts correct, but I love my 401 right now.

Whatever happened to the investigation of non-citizens registered to vote in Pennsylvania? It was reported that over 10,000 registrations were being investigated with over 2,000 in Philadelphia. Have not heard any updates about this. Has anyone else?

If you want to get rid of the lantern flies get some praying mantis, they’re a natural enemy of the lantern flies. My friend has some praying mantis in her yard and she said she’s having no trouble at all now with the lantern flies. So that’s a suggestion if you want to try it.

Yes I have voted Republican my whole life but after all the chaos that has been going on in Washington for the last year and a half, I am now going to vote straight Democrat. —Redneck Republican
