After reading the comments about cruising in Pottstown I thought to myself, when people were cruising I was not afraid to walk down High Street at night. Well I am now. So how’s that working out? —Cheese

I think the way we give out our personal information over the phone needs to change. Instead of verbally giving out our information such as Social Security numbers I think when calling using a touch pad is a better idea. You never know who’s listening and numbers like that should not be repeated out loud.

You people who think you are so smart on financing are you aware of how the stock market and your 401(k) has grown? You should be smart enough to know to invest in your best options. Sooner or later adjustments are made and there is a certain period of payback. If you are so misinformed in investing and tend to lose sleep and complain, don’t invest. Educate yourself. The stock market cannot continue at the pace it is. Find yourself a good financial adviser. —Be smart

I read a comment in Sound Off that you should keep politics out and just put it in Sound Off every two weeks. I agree with that. I get sick of politics, you hear it on TV all the time. Also another thing, if Jay Miller and Mark Furlong seem to be such smart men why don’t they run for office of some sort?

Mitch McConnell says that the answer to the 17 percent rise in the deficit will be taken care of by cutting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. He cut taxes for the rich, will not close legal loopholes that allow the ultra rich like Donald and Jared to not pay their fair share of taxes but he will take from those who cannot afford it. This is the Republican answer — take from the poor and give to the rich. —Steve Nissle

The Democrats have become a party of political radicals. If they succeed in gaining the House and Senate our nation will be destroyed.

I recently went into a senior retirement apartment. In the halls they had socalled good smells coming in. These smells are all artificial chemicals. Old people don’t smell things well but they will be getting sinus, allergy and breathing problems and not know why. I can’t go into any stores that do this, I suffer all day if I do. It might smell good but it can make you sick.
