Dina Nouaime and Tina Prince were an unbeatable duo Saturday.

Methacton’s representatives to the District 1 Doubles Tournament enhanced their showing with an advance to the championship match. They won twice in straight sets to qualify for a title showdown with Harriton’s Sophia Sassoli and Saige Roshkoff, the competition’s top seeds.

The Sassoli/Roshkoff tandem’s advance at the top of the bracket resulted in the elimination of Spring-Ford’s Tori Alexander and Kathryn Alvarez. Alexander/Alvarez, who joined Nouaime/ Prince in the quarterfinal round, were handled by the Harriton team 6-0, 6-1.

The district final will be played noon Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Legacy. Matches to determine third and fifth place will also be staged.
