Since Trump’s border wall is about to come up again in Congress, folks should be aware that construction of a continuous wall along the U.S./Mexican border would destroy wildlife habitat, fragment the range of many animal species and disrupt migratory corridors resulting in harm to hundreds of animal species. Contact your congressman and oppose this abomination. —A Responsible Citizen

According to the Associated Press, don’t expect the NFL to institute a National Anthem Policy this season if at all. Wah, wah. —Baby Trump

Responding to the caller who still wants to believe the Russians and Trump and the Republicans were in collusion during the 2016 campaign, get over it. There is nothing there. Two years the Mueller investigation has found nothing. The only irregularities occurred through the Steele dossier which was funded by the Clintons and the DNC through Fusion GPS. Will you people wake up?

One hot day this past summer I asked my bride what she thought the neighbors might say if I mowed the grass nude. She responded “They’d probably say I must have married you for your money.” — Jim Fitch

After reading the comments that Trump made regarding that Democrats are behind the caravan headed to the U.S. is just another sign that this man does not play well with a full deck and needs to be looked at.

Gosnell is an important film which the prevailing power structure in Hollywood and Silicon Valley declined to finance, make, distribute or promote. Its PG-13 rating speaks to the intent of the producers to dispense with sensationalism in the interest of telling a story that needed to be told. The film is presently playing in Collegeville and Oaks. —M. Furlong

The Texas Democratic Party asked non-citizens to vote sending out applications to immigrants with the citizenship box already checked and with a return address of the Democratic Party. Now if that’s not illegal and trying to influence the election it’s awfully close to the line. No wonder Dems are so opposed to voter ID. — Truth Be Told

There’s one thing you can say about the first lady Mrs. Trump. She is very, very caring for children. She runs a lot of charities for children being bullied and she has a very good heart. I’ve never really heard her do a speech and I’m sure she has a little bit of broken English which many many years ago my grandparents did when they came over here to America. The other thing is she is definitely the most beautiful first lady we’ve ever had.

I read Sound Off on a daily basis and I get so tired of all this political stuff but on a good note I just want to say that on the front page of Friday’s Mercury was about the Limerick Fire Company giving a day to children with special needs. What a wonderful article and how great was that and what a blessing that was to those children. I just wanted to thank the fire company for doing that. That was a bright note in my day.

When Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circuses went out of business, I had a feeling that some version of the circus would make a comeback, I just didn’t know it would be this soon. Well folks the circus is in town and the ringmaster is Donald Trump. —Jimmy Vod

There is no doubt the Democratic Party needs a change in its management. Those officials who control the party at headquarters have to be changed. Their ideas are not valid and Hillary proves that. It’s time for a change Democrats. —Starlight

There’s a lot of press and TV about salvaging Social Security. I believe that to be true, not believing too much that comes out of Washington. Social Security will need some life support sooner than later. What does not come out of Washington is where did the money go? A good start to find out is the internet. Search for” Ronald Reagan and the great Social Security heist.” You may be surprised but then again maybe not. —Gene

I thank Christian offering to mow the grass. You cannot be a lawyer and I don’t live in a cemetery but please I don’t want to be made born again again or Republican. —Bruce Madara Chris Long, a California CBS news anchor, resigned or was he fired because he defended Brett Kavanaugh. He wrote a 400 Facebook post defending Kavanaugh. Long apologized to anyone he offended. Long was brave and spoke his true feelings. Do other news people feel the same way but afraid of losing their job? Thank you Chris for your honesty.

Vote in all Republicans. Vote out all corrupt Democrats. Vote them out. —L. Fox
