Mildred Mae Aronowicz of Pottstown

Mildred Mae (Vogel) Aronowicz, 96, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Sanatoga Center. She was the wife of the late John F. Aronowicz.

Born in Reading, PA, on February 1, 1922, Mildred was the daughter of the late William and Edith (Miller) Vogel.

Mildred retired at 65 from Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, where she worked as a financial administrator. She also worked for many years at Ellis Answering Service and Bell Telephone Company.

She loved playing bingo and visiting with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Stephen Aronowicz, husband of Helen, Exton, PA; one daughter, Sharon Walters, Gilbertsville, PA; five grandchildren, Michelle Powell, wife of Lee; Kristin Aronowicz; John Aronowicz, husband of Rashmi; Bruce Walters, husband of Renee; and Jon Walters; eight grandchildren, Makayla, Mia, Aahana, Prashmin, Andrew, David, Aayana, and Max; and one sister-in-law, Regina Coulston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Clyde Vogel.

A viewing will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mildred’s memory to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 150 N. Hanover St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
