Four inducted in Pottsgrove Honor Roll
Four members of the community were recently inducted into the Pottsgrove School District Honor Roll.
LIMERICK >> Four members of the Pottsgrove community were recently inducted into the Pottsgrove School District Honor Roll during the 18th annual luncheon at Copperfield’s in Limerick.
The event was sponsored by the Pottsgrove Retired Teachers and the Pottsgrove Education Foundation.
The Honor Roll recognizes members of the community who have provided distinguished service to the school district or who have made notable contributions to society since graduating from Pottsgrove.
This year’s honorees were Dawn Middleton, Jennie Donovan, Richard Pennypacker, and Gerald Catagnus.
Dawn Middleton, class of 1963, worked in education all her life, and retired as a full professor from Cabrini College.
Jennie Donovan spent a great deal of her time in support of the Pottsgrove School District through the Booster Club, the PTO, Music League, 5K Memorial Run, and other organizations.
Richard Pennypacker recently retired from the school district as their long time physical education teacher and head football coach.
Gerald Catagnus, class of 1975, is the Middle School principal in the Twin Valley School District.
Master of Ceremonies for the luncheon was Charles Yohn. Honorees were introduced by Earl Boehmer, James Basile, Yohn, and Kay Bachkai. Linda Cole offered the invocation.
Serving on the Honor Roll Committee are Basile, Yohn, Boehmer, Cole, John Meko, D.J. Testa, Bev Reber, Addison Davidson, Barbara Clayton, Bernard Conley, Tom Roberts, and Robert Rheel.
