PIAA CHAMPIONSHIPS >> Methacton seniors Dina Nouaime and Tina Prince reached the final of the PIAA Class 3A doubles tournament Saturday at Hershey Racquet Club. Unfortunately for the Warriors’ pair, they ran into the same dominant opponent as in the District 1 final, Harriton’s Sophia Sassoli and Saige Roshkoff.
Nouaime and Prince earned silver after falling to the Harriton duo, 6-1, 6-2. The loss didn’t overshadow three straightset wins to reach the final two, including a 6-1, 6-3 win over District 7 champions Ella Santora and Aya Youssef of Shady Side Academy in the semifinals.
