Louis Iannacchione of Upper Pottsgrove

Louis “Pap” Iannacchione, 88, of Upper Pottsgrove, husband of Shirley (Moyer) Iannacchione, and the late Regina (Christman) Iannacchione, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018, at Manor Care in Pottstown.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Costanzo and Erminia (Colecchia) Iannacchione.

Louis was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also active in the St. Aloysius Community Meal Program.

Surviving along with his wife are four children Michael Iannacchione of Chicago, IL, Terri Gorell wife of Kris of Elkton, MD, Paula Craig wife of Rob of Milton Park, and Ann Shepherd wife of Michael of Douglassville; four step-children Thomas Shepherd husband of Patricia of Pottstown, Edward Shepherd of Stowe, Michael Shepherd husband of Ann of Douglassville, and Cynthia Shepherd wife of Gary Wamsher of Stowe; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one brother Edward Iannacchione of Pittsburgh.

Along with his first wife and parents, Louis was predeceased by his two daughters Laura Shepherd and Lucille Lucko, and one son Andrew Iannacchione.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday November 9, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464, with Fr. Joseph Maloney officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:3011:15 AM at the church gathering center. Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Manor Care for taking excellent care of Louis during these last 19 months.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Louis’ memory to St. Aloysius Church, 844 N. Keim St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
