POTTSTOWN >> Police seized several items, including weapons and drugs, from a home Thursday morning following the execution of a search warrant.

At approximately 6 a.m. Thursday, a search warrant was served with the assistance of Montgomery County SWAT – West (MSWAT-W) at 351 Beech St., police said.

The search warrant was obtained after an investigation of suspected drug activity at the residence. Officers entered the residence without incident and there were no injuries to anyone in the residence or to any of the officers involved, police said.

Police said the listed owner of the home was present at the time the search warrant was served. No one else was in the residence at the time of the search.

Weapons, controlled substances, cash and paraphernalia for packaging controlled substances were all seized at the residence.

No one was taken into custody at the time the search was conducted.

The search warrant was the second one served in relation to drug activity in Pottstown in the last week. On Nov. 2, Pottstown Police reported taking four individuals into custody after an early morning search of a residence on the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

In that instance, police located five weapons, cash in excess of several thousand dollars and suspected controlled substance.
