George Allen Berkhimer of Norristown
George Allen Berkhimer, age 76, husband of Gloria (Norris) Berkhimer, of Norristown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Seasons Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 20, 1942 in Abington, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late George Berkhimer Sr. & Margaret Berkhimer.
George graduated from LaSalle University with his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and would later go on to work as a Manager of Technical Services for CertainTeed in Valley Forge for over 30 years.
George also loved to help others and dedicated his time as a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in King of Prussia. In his spare time he loved walking, was an avid reading, enjoyed golfing and was a Philadelphia sports enthusiast.
George also loved to travel and had many opportunities to see the world traveling with his wife and company; but most of all he loved spending time with his family, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.
In addition to his loving wife, George is survived by his three children, Lynn Seuberling, wife of Kevin, Kelly Baker, wife of Michael, Brian Berkhimer, husband of Leslie; one sister Marianne Gill, wife of Edward; Brother, Richard Berkhimer, husband of Lillian; five grandchildren, Sierra Seuberling, Devin Seuberling, Owen Parrish, Nolan Baker, and Lilly Berkhimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Services for George at Campbell Ennis Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Tompkinson. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family and Friends will be received from 10:00 am 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
