Coven­tryville UMC

Pottstown — The Thrift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to­day at Coven­tryville United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Road.

A Christ­mas Bazaar will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. to­day. Christ­mas shop, green­house, bake ta­ble, silent auc­tion, at­tic trea­sures, thrift shop. Break­fast and hot lunch items avail­able.

First Pres­by­te­rian

Pottstown — It is “Ded­i­ca­tion Sun­day” and the Cherubs will be singing. A pro­gram by An­drew Har­nish, phys­i­cal ther­a­pist from Fox Re­hab and Chest­nut Knoll, will be held after wor­ship on re­duc­ing your risk of fall­ing. Chest­nut Knoll will be pro­vid­ing a light lunch. At 5:30 pm., the Jr. Seek­ers will en­joy some de­li­cious tacos as they watch and dis­cuss a va­ri­ety of TED talks.

Cen­ten­nial Lutheran

Kim­ber­ton — Pas­tor Ron Dz­iuk will be pre­sid­ing dur­ing the 9:30 a.m. wor­ship ser­vice on Sun­day at Cen­ten­nial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, while Pas­tor Jerry Tan­credi will be on va­ca­tion.

First UCC

Roy­ers­ford — Stew­ard­ship Sun­day will be cel­e­brated at the 11 a.m. wor­ship ser­vice at First United Church of Christ, 367 Wash­ing­ton St., and new mem­bers will be wel­comed. A re­cep­tion will take place in the So­cial Hall after wor­ship.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

Obelisk — A free Com­mu­nity Din­ner will be of­fered on Thurs­day from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neif­fer Road. All are wel­come.

St. James Lutheran

Lim­er­ick — Mem­bers of St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Ku­gler Road, will meet to­day to make blan­kets for vet­er­ans. This project is part of “Op­er­a­tion Valor” which dis­trib­utes blan­kets to vet­er­ans at var­i­ous vet­eran cen­ters. Mem­bers of the church have al­ready com­pleted 60 blan­kets.

Do­na­tions of items to be given to res­i­dents at the Art­man Home will be col­lected on Sun­day. “Op­er­a­tion Christ­mas Child 2018” is be­ing or­ga­nized by the women of SOUL. Shoe­boxes filled with toys or small needed items will be col­lected on the next two Sun­days. “Op­er­a­tion Christ­mas Child” is a project of Sa­mar­i­tan’s Purse.

Bethel UMC

Spring City — Christ­mas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to­day at Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road. Crafts, at­tic trea­sures, bake ta­ble, pre­serves pantry, home­made soups and other great food. Every­one is wel­come.

Barto — The Bless­ing of the Prayer Shawls and Quilts will be held dur­ing the 9 a.m. ser­vice on Sun­day at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road. Con­fir­ma­tion will be held at 9 a.m. in room I. Im­me­di­ately fol­low­ing the wor­ship ser­vice, the semi-an­nual Con­gre­ga­tional Meet­ing will be held to vote on the 2019 Coun­cil, ap­prove the 2019 Bud­get as well as vote on the ser­vice time change. Vot­ing mem­bers, please plan on at­tend­ing to cast your vote.

Shep­herd of the Hills

Bech­telsville — Non­per­ish­able food items are be­ing col­lected for Scout­ing for Food and the Sal­va­tion Army through­out the next week at Shep­herd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoff­mansville Road.

St. Paul’s UCC

Pottstown — An Al­lYou-Can-Eat Pan­cake Break­fast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on Sun­day at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St. Break­fast in­cludes pan­cakes, eggs, sausage, bev­er­age, and home­made desserts. Tick­ets are $6 for adults; $3.50 for ages 6 to 12; and kids age 5 and un­der are free.

St. Peter’s Lutheran

Pottstown — Stew­ard­ship Sun­day will be ob­served with Wor­ship Ser­vices at 8 and 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 564 Glas­gow St. The four-week Stew­ard­ship pro­gram con­cludes to­day after pre­sent­ing a dif­fer­ent topic each week en­cour­ag­ing mem­bers to join one an­other in pre­sent­ing their 2019 com­mit­ments of giv­ing in sup­port of the min­istry and mis­sion to our church. Wor­ship­pers will have the op­por­tu­nity to com­plete and re­turn their com­mit­ment cards at both wor­ship ser­vices.

Scrip cards pur­chased last week may be picked up after ei­ther wor­ship ser­vice.

The Lutheran Church Women re­quest that all food items for the Veg­etable Soup be dropped off this Sun­day. The soup will be pre­pared and cooked on Fri­day, Nov. 16, and sold at the An­nual Church Bazaar on Satur­day for $4 per pint and $8 per quart.

Zion’s UCC

Pottstown — Kim Adam­son will re­turn as guest min­is­ter at Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chest­nut streets. at the 10:15 a.m. wor­ship ser­vice on Sun­day. Of­fer­ing pi­ano so­los are by Isa Bar­tolini, pre­lude, and Chase Bar­tolini, of­fer­tory. Laura Clat­ten­burg will of­fer a vo­cal solo.

Each year Zion’s gen­er­ously adds to the Hol­i­day Food Boxes for the Clus­ter. This year the church will do­nate 200 cans of cran­berry sauce. A box is in the Sun­day School lobby.

The con­gre­ga­tion will host the Home­less Shel­ter for the month of Jan­uary. A sign-up sheet is now in the Sun­day School lobby.

First Bap­tist

Pottstown — Toys and gravy are be­ing col­lected for the Clus­ter’s Christ­mas Toy Drive and Christ­mas Hol­i­day Food Bas­kets.

The new hym­nals, “Re­new”, can be ded­i­cated to loved ones for $10. A ded­i­ca­tion la­bel will be placed in one of the hym­nals in honor or in mem­ory of the per­son you se­lect.

A Christ­mas con­cert is be­ing planned to thank Pottstown for their sup­port over the last few years.

Brown­back’s UCC

Spring City — All are in­vited to the An­nual Hol­i­day Bazaar from 9 a.m. un­til 2 p.m. to­day at Brown­back’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road. In ad­di­tion to the at­tic trea­sures, there will be a craft ta­ble, bas­ket raf­fle, and baked goods ta­ble. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. un­til 1 p.m.

Is­abella Rose Lewis will be wel­comed into the church fam­ily through bap­tism dur­ing the 10 a.m. wor­ship ser­vice on Sun­day. All are wel­come to re­main after the ser­vice for So­cial Hour in Fel­low­ship Hall, hosted by the Kitchen Com­mit­tee.

St. Mary’s RCC

Sch­wenksville — The Saint Mary Christ­mas Craft Show and Bazaar will be held on Fri­day, Nov. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Satur­day, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. fea­tur­ing over 60 unique crafters in both the Parish Hall and Saint Mary School, 40 Spring Mount Road. There will be mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment, home­made soup, chili, pulled pork, piro­gies, kiel­basa sand­wiches, golumpki, hot dogs, walk­ing tacos, pizza, candy, raf­fle bas­kets filled with good­ies, pic­tures with Santa and so much more. Take a chance at win­ning the 50/50 or one of over 50 beau­ti­ful raf­fle bas­kets on dis­play.

Trin­ity UCC

Pottstown — A time of fel­low­ship will fol­low the 10 a.m. ser­vice on Sun­day at Trin­ity United Church of Christ, 60 N. Hanover St. Vis­i­tors are ex­pected.
