Douglas J. Carl of Phoenixville

Douglas J. Carl, age 61, son of Clarence S. Carl Jr. and Joan (Spieth) Carl, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville.

Doug attended East Pikeland Elementary School, the Phoenixville Junior High School, and the Northern Chester County Technical School, graduating in 1975. He worked at the Spring City Foundry for 25 years prior to his employment at A.C. Miller Concrete.

Doug loved watching auto races, and enjoyed Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, even shouting out the answers he knew. Doug is survived by a brother, Gary, husband of Bonnie Carl of Pottstown. He also has many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence S. Carl Sr. and his wife Mary, and his maternal grandparents, William and Adelaide Spieth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John’s Circle, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9:15 am - 10:15 am Monday at the church.
