I just had to say that you had that nice article about Shandy Hill in The Mercury the other day and I just couldn’t help but call and tell you that we have Shandy Hill’s ‘79 Cadillac Seville.

To the genius who says let’s quit blaming Gov. Wolf for the school tax situation, yeah I’m placing the blame solely on him and his lieutenant governor at that point who isn’t even with him anymore because they had to replace him. He’s the guy who cast the deciding vote against eliminating the school tax. So I think I can blame him and I’ll blame whoever the heck I want to blame. What else do you have?

I live in an apartment house and I was wondering if anybody out there could tell me what the temperature has to be in the apartment to make it warm?

OK politicians, we voted you into office to work for us. There are critical issues that need to be addressed. School tax, property tax, welfare, companies and corporations not giving their employees raises but everything else is increasing in price. We need your help and we need it now. We voted you in so please help us.

To a veteran, Trump couldn’t make it to the cemetery because of rain but if he had 18 holes to play he would have been there. —Rofo D.

A week after the election and the Democrats are still picking up seats. The blue wave was for real. Meantime the conservatives are up to their old shenanigans. Voter suppression in Georgia and refusing to count out all the votes in Florida might help them finally win an election. I guess the Russians couldn’t help Trump this time. —Lefty Yes, I have to agree with the people, no conspiracy.

I stand by the facts. Republicans lost 28 House seats and still counting, seven governors, 323 state legislature seats and six state legislature chambers. That’s 364 Republican seats. As I said that is a third of the Republican seats in two years and is more seats than President Obama lost in eight years. — Clark S. Kent Donald Trump tells more stories than Dr. Seuss. —Brett from Skippack

Donald Trump says people are voting once and then putting on disguises and coming back and voting a second time. This is what Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne did. They voted once as themselves and then came back as Superman and Batman and voted again. This is very underhanded. I believe Trump should have them both fired from the Justice League.

Rounding out the GOP leadership team will be Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney who was on hand to watch his daughter take over the number three spot he held decades ago. “He told me not to screw it up,” she said. Now imagine this coming from a vice president who led us into the most ridiculous situations in Iraq that finally ended up not to be true. I still think he should be in prison.

The election has been over for a week now. How about we get our signs taken down?

When relating the names of reindeer I can understand Dasher, Dancer and Prancer but how did Vixen get her name? —Jim Fitch

To the woman with the handicapped license plate, how about stopping at the stop sign when you’re coming in from the Boyertown CVS? You came right on up and never even stopped. Just because you have a handicap license doesn’t mean you have to drive like one. —Concerned Citizen

Another day and more lies from Trump. Now he says you have to show ID to buy cereal. What’s next, I’ll have to show my passport or birth certificate to buy ham at the deli? —North Coventry Yankee

I’m calling about Rich from Eagleville. That wasn’t a very nice thing he said about the Philadelphia Eagles. You know when you play games like that somebody has to lose and they didn’t lose by that much to start off with. But maybe Rich should apply for a job on the Eagles. Since he didn’t think they played so good maybe he could help them out.

As a concerned driver I would just like to know if it’s generally me or has anybody else run into this problem when it says yield to oncoming traffic? Do people just not know what that means or are they just that ignorant to pull in front of you without turn signals or anything? I’ve been noticing a lot of it lately.

A nationalist is a person with strong patriotic feelings especially one who believes in the superiority of their own country over others with loyalty and devotion to their nation. I am a nationalist, are you?
