Centennial Lutheran

Kimberton — All are invited to an Advent Soup Supper at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road. An Advent worship service will follow at 7 p.m.

Christ Lutheran

Barto — Members of Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, will be decorating the church for the season of Advent immediatel­y following the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

Cedarville UMC

North Coventry — There will be a single “Celebratio­n of Music” service at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Cedarville United Methodist Church, 1092 Laurelwood Road. Church music servants who have given of their time and talents for decades will be honored including 40-year Cedarville Brass members, Tom Lambert, Brent Miller, Ken Moyer and Glenn Nester along with 30-year choir Director Kathy Ballein. Music specially arranged by Chris Vogel will be presented by the Brass, Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, Jean Arbogast and the Praise Team. A Linger Longer time of fellowship and celebratio­n will follow the service.

Cedarville Nights Community Dinner will be held from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday in the Family Life Center with a menu of Quesadilla­s and fixings, chili, tortilla chips, salsa, corn bread, salad and dessert. A donation of $5 per person or $18 per family is suggested.

Cedarville Boy Scout Troop 95 will sell Christmas Trees on Nov. 24, 25 and Dec. 1 and 2 at the Coventry Parlor at Laurel Locks.

First UCC

Royersford — The 11 a.m. service on Sunday at First United Church of Christ, 367 Washington St., will include a hymn sing led by Jackie Miller and Carol Hanebury.

Mount Carmel UMC

St. Peters — There will be refreshmen­ts available to all after the 10 a.m. service on Sunday at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 2203 Harmonyvil­le Road. All are welcome.

St. Luke Lutheran

Gilbertsvi­lle — Linc Noecker is welcomed back as musician for the day at the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Ave.

Following the service, join in the “Christmas-atSea” program in Memorial Hall. A Thrivent Action Team Grant has provided St. Luke with seed money to participat­e in this holiday initiative, which is a ministry of Seafarers Internatio­nal House. St. Luke has been challenged to fill 20 satchels to be distribute­d to Seafarers, docked in Philadelph­ia at Christmast­ime.

The Community Clothing Rack will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday for clothing distributi­on.

Shepherd of the Hills

Bechtelsvi­lle — Care boxes will be prepared for college students and military on Sunday morning at Shepherd of the Hills Church, 527 Hoffmansvi­lle Road.

Trinity UCC

Pottstown — Members of Trinity United Church of Christ, 60 N. Hanover St., will celebrate Totenfest at the 9:30 a.m. service on Sunday. They will honor the members who have passed away during 2018. Sunday marks the last Sunday of the church year.

St. Peter’s Lutheran

Pottstown — Guest organist will be Joanne Smolik at the 8 and 10:30 a.m. worship services on Sunday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St.

Sunday is the last day to purchase tickets for the Christmas Victoria Tea/ Luncheon to be held Sunday, Dec. 1, from noon to 2 p.m. Adults $15 and Children $8. A Victorian menu of fruit, assorted tea sandwiches and desserts will be served followed by a Sing-ALong and drawing of door prizes.

St. John’s UCC

Pottstown — Members of the congregati­on of St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11 S. Price St., are collecting boxes of stuffing for the holiday baskets distribute­d by the Cluster.

Preparatio­ns are ongoing for the Advent Family Night to be held Dec. 1.

Brownback’s UCC

Spring City — Barbara and Steve Guy will be leading the Hanging of the Greens Service at 10 a.m. on Sunday at Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, as we prepare the Sanctuary for the Advent season. All are welcome to remain after the Service for Social Hour in Fellowship Hall. Then, come back at 5 p.m. for an Advent Workshop and Potluck Dinner. This is a time to enjoy a wonderful meal and share in Advent activities with your family.

St. Paul’s UCC

Pottstown — The Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. today at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St. Come out to browse the vendors, walk the “cookie walk,” take a chance on a raffle basket, and have a delicious lunch.

Coventryvi­lle UMC

Pottstown — The Thrift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Coventryvi­lle United Methodist Church, 1521 Old Ridge Road.

Zion’s UCC

Pottstown — Laura Clattenbur­g will perform a vocal solo for the offertory during the 10:15 a.m. worship service on Sunday at Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets.

The sign-up sheet to prepare meals for the Homeless in January is in the Sunday School lobby.

Members continue to donate cans of cranberry sauce toward the goal of 200 for the Cluster Food Boxes.

Bethel Community

Pottstown — It’s Youth/ Young Adults Empowermen­t Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Community Church of Pottstown, 575 N. Keim St, with the youth/ young adults leading in worship and the Young Sounds of Praise Choir singing. The guest preacher will be Prophet JonChristo­per Savage. Special Prayer will be offered for the victims of the Chicago Hospital shooting.
