It didn’t take long for the Perkiomen School boys basketball team to get back on the winning track.

A little more than 24 hours, to be exact.

After sustaining their first loss of the season Tuesday, the Panthers responded Wednesday with an 80-65 victory over West Nottingham Academy. They fell behind Haverford School early on the way to a 59-42 setback; but while it started out the same against West Nottingham, Perkiomen played a much stronger second half. The Panthers (6-1) outscored their hosts by a 44-26 count down the stretch to erase WN’s 39-36 advantage in the first half.

Perkiomen’s Keeshawn Kellman led all scorers with 25 points, and he had several spectacular blocks. Tautyvdas Kupstas drilled three 3-pointers in the second half en route to finishing with 18 points. Chris Arcidiacono chipped in with 15 for the locals, and Niels Lane 14.

Perkiomen School will take on the National Prep Title runner-up, Northfield Mount Hermon, 8 p.m. Saturday at Babson College in the Scholar Roundball Classic. EPISCOPAL AC. 61, HILL SCHOOL 60 >> The Blues saw a five-point lead erased by Episcopal in the final minute of their non-league game.

WESTTOWN SCHOOL 64, HILL SCHOOL 48 >> A late-game surge lifted the Moose over the Blues in a non-league game that saw the Hill mount its own surge in the second quarter.

Sparked by Olivia Matto’s strong first half (17 points), the Blues (2-1) led Westtown, 27-24, in the second quarter. But the Moose scored five straight points to nab the two-point lead at the half, and they carried that momentum into the third as they outscored the Blues, 14-4, to start the frame before Hill could regain its footing.

Matto scored a gamehigh 27 points, including a trio of 3-pointers. Cynthia Williams followed with nine points and had a strong game on the boards.
