Police respond to 106 incidents in one week

PHOENIXVIL­LE >> Phoenixvil­le Police responded to 106 incidents between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2 including 12 traffic accidents.

The following is a summary of notable incidents as reported by Phoenixvil­le Police on their Facebook page:

On Nov. 27 at 1:34 p.m., a 64-year-old Phoenixvil­le man was ejected from District Court after he cursed out the judge during a traffic proceeding. The man continued to act out in the parking lot and confronted a fellow witness in front of a police officer. The man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

On Nov. 28 at 8:01 a.m., police responded to a home in the 1000 block of Paradise Street for the report of a suspicious condition. The caller reported that the front door to the home was wide open. Sgt. Sutton went in and checked the home and found the homeowner sleeping on the 2nd floor. The resident did not realize that the wind blew the front door open.

On Nov. 28 at 11:28 a.m., police responded an apartment in the Village of Pickering Run complex for the report of a disturbanc­e. The caller informed Officer Dobry that she and her ex-boyfriend were moving out of their shared apartment and the ex did not like it when her new boyfriend showed up to help with the move. The ex-boyfriend proceeded to dump a pile of the ex-girlfriend’s outfits on the floor and doused them with bleach. The ex-boyfriend will be receiving a summons for criminal mischief.

On Nov. 28 at 12:09 p.m., District Court issued a warrant for Dallas Gonzales, 27 of Phoenixvil­le, after he skipped out on a court proceeding related to a prior DUI arrest.

On Nov. 28 at 7:00 p.m., a resident in the unit block of E. Walnut Street reported that he could see a man wearing a mask lurking outside his home on his security cam. Officer Fusco responded and determined that the figure was just a shadow. The resident explained that he just installed the security system and apologized for the mistake.

On Nov. 29 at 4:04 p.m., police responded to the unit block of E. Grant Street for the report of a neighbor dispute. The caller reported that she looked out her window and her next door neighbor gave her the middle finger. The neighbor claimed the caller flipped him off first but he agreed to avoid hand gesture exchanges with his neighbor.

On Nov. 29 at 4:47 p.m., police responded to a home in the 500 block of Nutt Road for a family dispute. The caller told Officer Dobry that she let her niece move in recently but the niece has not been following the house rules. Turns out the niece, Kristie Patton, age 33, of Spring City, was a fugitive. Patton had an active warrant related to a late March shopliftin­g incident at the Gateway Pharmacy. Patton was arrested on the warrant and taken before a judge.

On Nov. 29 at 5:15 p.m., police responded to the Acme on Starr Street for the report of an unwanted person. An employee reported that a customer has been coming into the store over the past two weeks and causing problems. Security asked her to leave and she refused. Sgt. Sutton asked her to leave and she still refusedso the officer escorted her out of the building and informed her she would be arrested for trespassin­g if she returned.

On Nov. 29 at 5:16 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of Buchanan Street reported that someone has been trying to sicken her dog by throwing chocolate bars and hot dogs into her fenced yard. The dog scarfed them down before she could get to them. The dog’s owner is going to invest in a security system in an effort to identify the person who is feeding her dog junk food.

On Nov. 30 at 11:33 a.m., police responded to the 100 block of Bridge Street for a car crash. The driver of a Hyundai sideswiped a parked car. The driver, Timothy Cressman, 64 of Quakertown, was drunk so he was arrested for DUI.

On Nov. 30 at 1:30 p.m., a resident turned is a silver house key attached to a small dog collar chain. The resident found the item on the Schuylkill River Trail. Contact the Detective Unit at 610-9331180 Ext. 815 if you are the owner.

On Dec. 1 at 6:29 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Bridge Street for the report of man carrying two six packs of beer and whooping it up. Officer Heller located the man and determined that he was not drunk and none of the beers were open- he was just happy to have two six packs of beer.

On Dec. 1 at 7:48 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Bridge Street for the report of a car crash involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 56-year-old Phoenixvil­le man, acknowledg­ed that the car hit him because he walked between two parked cars and stepped into traffic. An ambulance responded but the man refused treatment. He was issued a ticket for jaywalking.

On Dec. 2 at 1:10 a.m., Officer Fusco was alerted by a citizen about an erratic driver in the unit block of Main Street. The officer located a Honda Ridgeline being driven on the wrong side of the road and he stopped the driver. The driver, Alvaro Francisco Aguilar-Garcia, age 38, of Phoenixvil­le, had a couple open bottles of Corona in the car and did not have a driver’s license. Aguilar-Garcia was drunk and he was subsequent­ly arrested for DUI.

On Dec. 2 at 1:28 a.m., police responded to the 400 block of Bridge Street for the report of a one car crash into a utility pole. Officer Heller pulled up to the mangled Hyundai Elantra and the driver was unconsciou­s in the front seat and the air bags had deployed. The 32-year-old Boyertown man was taken to the hospital by ambulance and the officer is investigat­ing to determine if he was impaired.
