Jennifer Takara Lee, 35, of the 100 block of Clemens Court in Towamencin faces four charges in court after allegedly leaving the two home alone last month.

According to the police criminal complaint against Lee, Towamencin police received a call around 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 7, 2018, after receiving a report from a family member related to Lee that two 11-month-old children were there, alone and unsupervised.

Police arrived on the scene and met with the person who reported the call, a family member of Lee, along with the two children. According to police, the family member then tried to call Lee, eventually making contact around 1:30 p.m, and Lee told the family member she was at Walgreens, and said “I can’t take them everywhere I go.”

Police then made contact with Lee, who acknowledged that she had left the two children at home and unattended. Lee told police she had an appointment, the family member was unable to watch the children, and she could not find anyone else to babysit.

She was arraigned on Dec. 14 and released after posting $5,000 bail on Dec. 16, with her next date in court slated to be a preliminary hearing before District Judge Ed Levine of Lansdale on Jan. 16, according to court records.
