Pottstown Hospital extends visiting hours
POTTSTOWN >> Visiting hours at Pottstown Hospital — Tower Health have been extended. The new hours for visiting patients — effective on Friday, Feb. 8 — are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
“Our customers spoke, and we listened,” said Rich Newell, president and CEO. “Extending visiting hours adds convenience for our patients and their families, something that is very important to Pottstown Hospital — Tower Health.”
Upon arrival at the hospital, all visitors are required to stop at the front desk and show ID to receive a visitor pass — which must be visible at all times. Certain restrictions still apply, and are based on the condition of the patient.
Visiting hours are posted on the hospital’s website at https://pottstown.towerhealth.org/patientsfamilies/visitor-information/ and are available at the front desk.
The new policy extends visiting hours by two hours in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.
Visitors are reminded to wash their hands before and after visiting the hospital. Those who are experiencing symptoms of illness such as vomiting, fever, cold, etc., should not visit until symptoms subside. Visitors are also encouraged not to bring food into the hospital. Pottstown Hospital is a smoke free facility and smoking is not permitted anywhere on the grounds.
