Arthur H. Quackenbos

Arthur H. Quackenbos, 85, of Myrtle Beach, formerly of Gilbertsville, husband of the late Mary Jane (Vanderslice) Quackenbos, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Margaret (Safian) Quackenbos.

Arthur was a US Army veteran. He was a member of first church of the brethren and served many years as a Sunday school teacher there. Arthur also enjoyed camping with his family and traveling.

Surviving are children Arthur R. Quackenbos husband of Deb, Susan J. Kyttle wife of Joe, Ronald S. Quackenbos, Douglas L. Quackenbos, husband of Lola and Sally A. Romero; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Along with his wife and parents he is predeceased by 2 brothers.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 11:00 AM at First Church of the Brethren, 371 N. York Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Arthur’s name to First Church of the Brethren at the above address.
