Route 422 lane closures planned

LIMERICK >> Lane closures will be in place on eastbound Route 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road.

The closures will be for concrete road patching on a project to rehabilitate pavement and repair seven structures along a five-mile section of Route 422 between the Royersford/Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, Montgomery County, PennDOT announced.

Weather permitting, the work schedule is:

• Monday, July 8, and Tuesday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, the right lane and shoulder will be closed; and

• Wednesday, July 10, through Saturday, July 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, the left lane and shoulder will be closed.

In addition, Country Club Road will be closed and detoured between Linfield Trappe Road and Lewis Road beginning Monday, July 8, through late August, for bridge repair operations on the structure carrying the highway over Route 422 in Limerick Township. During the closure, Country Club Road motorists will be directed to use between Linfield Trappe Road and Lewis Road.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near all the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

H & K Group Inc. of Skippack, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $17,874,021 project which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. The entire project is expected to be completed in summer 2021.
