KING OF PRUSSIA A sea of red, white and blue filled the downstairs of Valley Forge Casino Tuesday during the kickoff of the “Women for Trump” Coalition.

Officials working at the rally estimated over 1,000 people attended the kickoff event launched by Lara Trump, President Trump’s daughter-in-law and campaign adviser.

The rally was aimed at recruiting and activating women in support of President Trump on Tuesday.

“From public safety to economic opportunity, women have directly benefited from President Trump’s policies,” said Hannah Castillo, director of coalitions of Donald J. Trump for President Inc. “The Women for Trump coalition will be a national effort to mobilize and empower women who support President Trump to help get the message of ‘Promises Made. Promises Kept’ into their communities across America. Unemployment for women is at its lowest level in over 65 years, and nearly 3.1 million new jobs have been added for women since January 2017. The strong support by women across the country will ensure a second term for the President.”

Support at the rally was in full swing, too.

“USA!” and “Trump!” chants could be heard as attendees descended the steps to enter the rally room. Many rally-goers said they showed up because they felt compelled to show their support for the president and his policies in person.

“I admire what he’s done with military, men and women,” said Barbara Wilson, 69, of Wayne. “Unemployment rate is down, the economy is down. I’m seeing financial gain. There are a lot of policies of his that I absolutely agree with. I do wish he wouldn’t tweet, I think it takes away from his accomplishments when he does something.”

“I’m banished from social media so I have to show support for my president in person now since I can’t do it on social media,” said Deanna April Gibbs, 49, of Philadelphia, who says she was banned from Twitter for her opinions on abortion and for being a Trump supporter. “We’re here to show support in the second wave. No one believed he would win the first one. I knew and hoped. Now we have some serious problems with the other side that can’t be ignored ... Trump will win.”

The rally kicked off with a prayer and the singing of the national anthem. The event welcomed guests including Ronna Romney McDaniel, head of the Republican National Committee, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, a television news personality and attorney, as well as political activists and video bloggers Lynnette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, popularly known as Diamond and Silk.

Guilfoyle rallied the crowd first, followed by an address by Lara Trump, who is married to the president’s son, Eric Trump.

“I think this president will be re-elected because

he has delivered on all the promises he made in 2016 and so many more,” said Trump. “Trump has been attacked by the Democrats, he’s been attacked by Hollywood. Everybody seems to be out to get him and he has done so many incredible things in 2½ years. So I am very confident that he will be re-elected. In fact, I’d venture to say that more women will go out and vote for Donald Trump.”

The rally concluded with a panel discussion and a “Trump Train” chant led by Diamond and Silk.
