Boys cross country

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 17, METHACTON 40 >> Tyler Clifford led the Vikings’ 1-2-3 finish on the way to a PAC victory over the Warriors Wednesday.

Clifford’s finish in 16:21 led the way, followed by teammates Dylan Danowski (16:35) and Ethan Ribelin (16:40). Jack Kapralick was Methacton’s top finisher in 4th (17:03). PHOENIXVIL­LE 17, POPE JOHN PAUL II 46 >> Doug Villegas-Rivas headed a 1-2-3 run by the Phantoms in Wednesday’s PAC Frontier Division meet with the Golden Panthers.

Villegas-Rivas clocked an 18:04, one second better than runner-up teammate Bryan Kerchner. Jason DiMarco was PJP’s top runner, fourth in 18:29. FLEETWOOD QUAD >> Daniel Boone made a solid run in Tuesday’s

four-team Berks League meet at Fleetwood. The Blazers outran Berks Catholic (16-42) and the host Tigers (25-30) but fell short of Conrad Weiser (25-30).

Alex Pingitore finished second overall for Boone, his 17:05 clocking six seconds behind race winner Alfonso Knoll of Conrad Weiser. Luke Gehringer and Cory Miller were other Top 10 runners for the Blazers, a respective seventh (18:12) and eighth (18:22).

PERKIOMEN VALLEY

METHACTON 50 >> Perkiomen Valley dominated with the top 8 finishers, led by race winner Summer Watts (19:12), in a PAC Liberty Division victory over Methacton Wednesday.

Second through eighth for PV were Delaney O’Sullivan (19:42), Megan Furlong (20:54), Elyse Tancini (21:10), Claudia Brach (21:10), Lindsay Fry (21:32), Avery Taylor (21:37) and Emma Miley (21:40). Methacton’s top runner was Mia Sheldon (9th, 22:39). POPE JOHN PAUL II 27, PHOENIXVIL­LE 43 >> Though Kerri Mochanally claimed first place for the Phantoms, the Golden Panthers swept the next eight spots to claim victory in Wednesday’s PAC Frontier Division meet.

Gianna Cagliola, running second in 20:46, led the PJP pack that followed Mochanally’s 20:26 clocking. FLEETWOOD QUAD >> Daniel Boone swept the opposition in Tuesday’s four-team Berks League meet at Fleetwood. The Blazers handled Berks Catholic (16-43), Conrad Weiser (21-38) and the host Tigers (15-50).

Hannah Santos, Ashley Benoit, Carlina Davis and Olivia Poore went 2-34-5 for Boone behind Conrad Weiser’s Sydney Werner, who finished eight seconds ahead of Santos with a 20:46. Renee Camburn also finished in the Top 10 for the Blazers, coming in eighth.

Boys soccer

UPPER PERKIOMEN 1, PALISADES 0 >> Mason Powers provided the Indians all the scoring they needed to prevail over Palisades in Tuesday’s non-league game.

David Schwab was credited with the assist on Powers’ goal.

Girls soccer

BERKS CATHOLIC 4, DANIEL BOONE 3 >> Alyssa Fontana scored her ninth goal, Zariya Holt her eighth and Gabriella Kurtas her sixth for the Saints as they held off the Blazers Tuesday.

Hannah Cassner, Nyla Cody and Lily Ferguson scored for Boone, with Nicole Brown assisting on all three goals. Jenna Heasley seven-save goaltendin­g for Blazers.

Field hockey

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 4, NESHAMINY 1 >> Perkiomen Valley built a 3-0 lead midway through the second half and went on to a non-league win Wednesday.

Danielle Hamm, assisted by Cristina Dougherty, scored off a corner in the first half. Hamm assisted Teresa Bartkowski on a corner with 14:36 and less than three minutes later Bella Ricci (Saige Shine assist) added an insurance tally.

Katie Wuerstle added an insurance score after Neshaminy’s Peyton Ritchey broke through. PV led in corners 12-4 and shots 167. Ari Martina had two defensive saves an assisted on Wuerstle’s goal. Ashley Derrick made four saves for PV (4-1 PAC, 7-2 overall). UPPER PERKIOMEN 4, PHOENIXVIL­LE 2 >> The Indians did all their scoring in the first half, and the output proved sufficient for them to win Tuesday’s PAC Frontier Division game with the Phantoms.

Ashlynn Gatto led the way for UP with two goals, the remainder scored by Luci Carpenter and Kate Rodenberge­r. AiYi Young and Micheala Greczek were credited with assists for the Tribe, which got 10save goalkeepin­g — one on a penalty stroke — from Lynnsi Joyce. BERKS CATHOLIC 9, DANIEL BOONE 0 >> Sydney Grim had three goals, and Julia Bressler had two goals and one assist, to lead the Saints past the Blazers (1-3, 2-5) in Berks League play Tuesday.

Ashley Finkbiner gave Boone 16-save goaltendin­g.

Girls volleyball

WEST CHESTER EAST 3, PHOENIXVIL­LE 0 >> WC East swept Phoenixvil­le, 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 in non-league play Wednesday. BOYERTOWN 3, GREAT VALLEY 0 >> The Bears swept Tuesday’s non-league match with the Patriots by set scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-19.

Statistica­l stars for Boyertown were Jess Ahart (11 kills), Adrianna Derstine (nine kills), Emily Wolfe (nine kills, 10 digs), Emma Ludwig (30 assists, three aces) and Julia Smith (20 digs). DANIEL BOONE 3, TWIN VALLEY 1 >> The Blazers scored a pair of 25-18 sets Tuesday to secure a Berks League victory over the Raiders. Boone won the first set 2521 before TV claimed the second 25-23.

Aubrey Hunt had 14 kills, four blocks and three digs for the Blazers (2-1, 4-3), which got 27 assists and 13 digs from Jessiani Slobodjian-Morta. Valori Klick had nine kills, three blocks and five aces for DB.

Boys golf

UPPER PERKIOMEN 222, UPPER MERION 234 >> At Macoby Run (par 36) on Tuesday, Zac Rozanski was the lone player in the 30s, his 39 leading Upper Perk to a PAC win. Other scoring golfers for the Indians were Donovan Hanney (42), Zach Gehman (46), Soren Svanson (46) and Mikey Montero (49). Upper Merion’s leaders were Connor Gemmill (42) and Audrey Schubel (43).

Girls tennis

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 7, OWEN J. ROBERTS 0 >> The Vikings won six duels in straight sets on the way to a PAC victory over the Wildcats Wednesday.

Kay Mahon (second singles) and the third-doubles pairing of Meghana Sahasrabud­dhe/Kaitlyn Murphy won by matching scores of 6-0, 6-0 for PV. OJR’s best individual showing came at third singles, where Sierra Everett extended her match to three sets. PHOENIXVIL­LE 5, POTTSGROVE 2 >> A sweep of the doubles bracket was key to the Phantoms taking Wednesday’s PAC match from the Falcons.

Victoria DeLuca/Peyton Carr and Caroline Mercer/ Madelyn Lane had the best individual showings for Phoenixvil­le, the first- and third-doubles duos dropping just one game apiece. Pottsgrove’s points came from Mya Krueger at first singles and Grace Myers at second singles.
