Hill boys soccer clinches MAPL title

HILL SCHOOL 4, MERCERSBURG ACADEMY 1 >> The Blues secured their ninth Mid-Atlantic Prep League title with a MAPL win over Mercersburg on Saturday.
Sam Beckett, Baba Kallie, Noah Toole and Johnny Creciun netted goals for Hill, while Beckett Kallie and Zach Barrett notched assists.
The Blues took an early 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes on goals from Beckett and Kabao off assists from Barrett and Beckett, respectively. Toole finished of a Kallie square pass in the box to expand the lead to 3-0. Mercersburg pulled within two on a corner only to see Hill answer a few minutes later on a cracker by Creciun.

CONESTOGA 2, SPRINGFORD 0 >> The 11th-seeded Rams dropped their District 1-4A semifinal contest Saturday to third-seeded Conestoga.
Spring-Ford will face seventh-seeded Unionville, a 1-0 winner over Boyertown, in the district playback bracket Tuesday at 5 p.m. The Rams need a win to earn one of District 1’s six bids in the PIAA tournament.
Field Hockey
HILL SCHOOL 10, MERCERSBURG ACADEMY 3 >> Everyone touched the field for the Blues in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League win to set up a MAPL title game against Lawrenceville next Saturday.
Josephine Palde and Kennedy Cliggett both tallied hat tricks for Hill. Sarah Rogalski, Emily Rakos, Rease Coleman and Maddy Orsi also scored. Logan Clouser and Ashley Kling led the Blues with two assists each, while Palde and Rogalski both added one.
Kerry Elliott made a defensive save.
Girls Volleyball
PENNSBURY 2 >> The Bears fell in five sets in a District 1-4A quarterfinal.
They will host a playback on Tuesday.
