BOYERTOWN 58, METHACTON 16 » The Bears pinned in four of the first five weights and rolled to a PAC victory Wednesday night over the Warriors, in a faceoff of two of the league’s new head coaches.

Alan Alexander set the tone at 170 with a 6-5 win over Roman Moser, then Jimmy Sinclair (182), Preston Fox (195), Anthony Bauer (220) and Robert Terra (285) pinned in consecutiv­e matches to build a 27-0 lead. Other Bear winners by fall were Julien Maldonado (120) and Nate Quay (132). Luke Heimbach won by technical fall at 106, helping give Nikolas Christine his first PAC win.

Methacton’s wins came in the final three bouts: Edgar Carbajal and Brody Brokowski pinned at 145 and 160 and Kibwe McNair won by major decision at 152. The Warriors are headed by Tony Haley, back for a second stint leading the program.

SPRING-FORD 69, NORRISTOWN 6 » Spring-Ford’s wrestling team got pins from six competitor­s to fuel its 69-6 win over Norristown in Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division action.

Xavier Cushman (160), Joey Milano (182), Cole Smith (106), Dominic Ortlip (113), Zach Needles (145) and Jack McGill all scored falls for Spring-Ford. It got the upper hand in the night’s two most competitiv­e bouts, Sean Brogan edging Tijear Brittingha­m, 3-2, at 285 and Quinn Tobin topping returning section champion Isaiah Tucker, 7-2, at 132.

Chris Carter’s pin at 220 scored Norristown’s lone points.

UPPER PERKIOMEN 57, POPE JOHN PAUL II 15 » The Indians got pins from Matt Martin (120), Tommy Flud (182) and Damon Faraco (220) and benefitted from five forfeits in topping the Golden Panthers Wednesday.

PJP’s wins came from Matt Vulakh (pin at 132) and Matt Delciotto (pin at 160).

DANIEL BOONE 70, TWIN VALLEY6» The Blazers put on a pinning clinic Wednesday, their eight falls key to a Berks Conference romp over the Raiders.

Daniel Salguero (126), Canton Dolla (132), Michael Elphick (138), James Hogan (145), Devin Dolla (160), Colby Pyle (182), Purshotma Singh (113) and Jay Stehman (120) all won by falls for Boone (30). A major decision from Brett Marchiano (106) and three forfeits padded the team’s initial 36-point lead.

COPPER HILLS (UTAH) 73, SPRING-FORD 52 » SpringFord dropped its first game at the KSA Classic in Orlando, Fla., Thursday. Nate Santiago and Zack Skrocki had 12 and 11 points, respective­ly, for the Rams, which trailed 44-27 at halftime.

SPRING-FORD 51, NORTHPORT 41 » The Rams got their Florida trip off to a good start Thursday, riding a big early lead to victory over Northport (N.Y.) in the KSA Classic at Walt Disney World.

Lucy Olsen was the game’s runaway scoring leader with 21 for Spring City. Emily Tiffan added 16 to help the Rams build a 3013 halftime lead. Olsen got 15 of her points off long-distance baskets. BOYERTOWN 109, POTTSGROVE 43 » Nolan Benner and Conner Stoudt each won two individual events in Boyertown’s win over Pottsgrove Wednesday.

Stoudt took first in the 200 IM (2:08.78) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.15) while Benner won the 50 and 100 freestyle. Other Bears individual winners were Justin Morris (200 free) and Harry Tye (500 free). Pottsgrove’s lone winner was Declan Keener in the 100 butterfly (59.28).

Girls Swimming

BOYERTOWN 105, POTTSGROVE 57 » Madison Tyson and Hannah Shaner had two individual wins each in the Bears’ win Wednesday.

Tyson topped the 200 free (2:10.17) and 100 free (1:00.08), Shaner placed first in the 200 IM (2:22.19) and 500 free (5:50.78) while Katherine Kummerer figured in on three wins, two relays and the 100 butterfly (1:07.57).
