Zion’s UCC
Pottstown — The Annual Martin Luther King Jr. service sponsored by the Pottstown Ministerium is at The Hill School Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 3:30 pm. Pastor Austin Chinault will participate with several other clergy from our community. The guest preacher will be Rev. Brandon Harris from Georgetown University. The offering (matched by The Hill School) will be given to the newly revived Ricketts Center opening to meet the needs of all ages in Pottstown. The choir at the 10:15 am worship service will sing the anthem “Precious Lord, Take my Hand” by Thomas A. Dorsey in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Diane Chinault will accompany on flute. Confirmation class and mentors will meet with Mary Cresswell to discuss their stoles for the May Confirmation celebration. Volunteers from Zion’s will prepare and serve the Community Meal at Emmanuel Lutheran at noon on Friday, Jan. 24.
Brownback’s UCC
Spring City — Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road Join us for our Adult Sunday School at 8:45 a.m. and remain with us for our 10 a.m. Traditional Worship Service. Pastor Mark Stryjak will be preaching on All That We Are and musical selections will be offered by our Chancel Handbells and Chancel Choir. Following a Word for All Ages, all children up through Grades 6 are invited to Worship Play; a Nursery is available for all children up through age 3. Remain with us after our Service for a special Social Hour hosted by the Bauer family, honoring Richard Bauer on his 80th birthday!
St. John’s UCC
Pottstown — St. John’s UCC, 11 S. Price St., Pottstown, will welcome back Rev. Judy Miller as guest pastor for the 10:15am service. Sunday School classes for all ages are available and everyone is welcome. The congregation continues to collect food for Operation 143 and preparations are underway to house the homeless during the month of February.
St. Peter’s Lutheran
Pottstown — St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St., Pottstown will celebrate the Second Sunday after Epiphany with Holy Communion Worship Services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. The Adult/Youth Bible Study Class will be held from 9:30 a. m. to 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Smolik will continue the study of the provocative video “The New Testament You Never Knew” with session #2 titled: The World of Jesus and the Apostles. The Executive Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday followed by the Church Council Meeting at 7:30 p.m. Reverend John Smolik will represent St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at the 9:30 a.m. Conference of the Upper Montgomery Lutheran Pastors, Grace Lutheran Church, Royersford.

Gilbertsville — Join us at 8:30 on Sunday mornings for our Adult Bible Study group to discuss the readings of the day. St. James Lutheran
Limerick — St. James Lutheran Church, 93 Kugler Road. “Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service “will start at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. This is a family friendly activity during which items will be made, cookies baked, and hygiene kits packed. At noon, lunch will be provided. Monday evening, members of St. James will go to God’s Kitchen in Pottsgrove to help serve meals and hand out the hygiene kits and other items.

Obelisk — The Praise Service, led by the praise band Messenger, will be held in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 10:15 a.m. The Rev. Paul Chapman will conduct the 8:00 a.m. Holy Communion and 10:15 a.m. Praise Service at Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neiffer Road, Obelisk. South Coventry — Coventryville United Methodist Church - Sunday’s services are at 9:30 AM (contemporary) and 11:00 AM (traditional) with Pastor Will Humes leading worship. Pottstown — Saturday at 11:00 AM, the Men of Valor Men’s Ministry will meet in the Library. At 4:30 PM, all Choir members participating in the 14th Annual Martin Luther King Jr Celebration will rehearse at The Hill School Alumni Chapel. On Sunday at 9:15 AM, it’s Community Sunday School when the topic of discussion will be “Solomon Seeks God’s Blessing” and every member and friend of Bethel Community Church of Pottstown are invited to attend. At 10:30 AM, BCCP will reflect on our 1st Year Anniversary with our 1st Year Anniversary Guest Preacher, Rev. Robert E.
