St. Paul’s UCC
Pottstown — St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St., Pottstown, will be holding a “Souper Bowl” Soup and Hoagie Sale on Saturday, Feb. 1. Vegetable Beef, Chicken Corn, Ham & Bean, and Potato Soup will be sale for $6 per quart. Italian and Turkey Hoagies will be for sale for $7 each. Pick up time is from 9:30 10:30 a.m. At the 9:00 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Feb. 2, we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion, and the Installation of the members of the 2020 Consistory.

Pottstown — First Presbyterian Church of Pottstown, 750 N. Evans St. Sunday School at 9:15 am, Worship at 10:30 am. This Sunday at First Presbyterian, the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated.
Brownback’s UCC
Spring City — Brownback’s United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road Join us this Sunday at 8:45 a.m. for our Adult Sunday School class and remain with us for our 10 a.m. Worship Service. Pastor Mark Stryjak will be leading our Worship and preaching on A New Vision. Music will be provided today by our Chancel Choir. Following a Word for All Ages, all children up through Grade 6 are invited to Worship Play; a Nursery is available for all children up through age 3. Remain with us after our Service for our Special “Souper” Bowl themed Social Hour in Fellowship Hall. All things football, including wings, soft pretzels, etc. will be served and you will get a chance to vote for your favorite Super Bowl team. Simply bring in can(s) of soup to vote for your favorite team — one can equals one vote! All soup cans will then be donated to the Spring City
Food Pantry.
St. John’s UCC
Pottstown — Members of St. John’s UCC, 11 S. Price St., Pottstown are making preparations for Housing the Homeless during the month of February. Meals are needed for the first two weeks of the month. Signup is on bulletin board in main hallway. Food collection is ongoing for Operation 143 ... our shelves are nearly filled again! The Consistory will meet on Monday at 7:00 pm for the annual reorganizational meeting. Sunday School classes are available for all ages beginning at 9:15 AM with the worship service at 10:15 AM.
St. Peter’s Lutheran
Pottstown — St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 564 Glasgow St., Pottstown, will celebrate the 4th Sunday after Epiphany with Holy Communion Worship Services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. The Adult/Youth Bible Study Class meets from 9:30 a. m. to 10:15 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Smolik will continue the study of the video “The New Testament You Never Knew” with session #4 titled: The Resurrection of Jesus. St. Peter’s Church “Souper Bowl” ends Sunday. The congregation is asked bring in canned soup and food items to vote for their favorite team (KC Chiefs’ or SF 49ers) who will they think will win todays Super Bowl. The box with the most items “WINS.” All food items will delivered to the Pottstown Outreach Center, the Real Winners. On Monday, the Evangelism Committee will at 6:45 p.m. and the Capital Campaign Committee at 7:30 p.m. The Lutheran Church Women (LCW) will meet on Tuesday at 7 pm. Gilbertsville — Join us at 8:30 on Sunday mornings for our Adult Bible Study group to discuss the readings of the day. Adult Sunday School will also meet at 8:30. Communion will be served at the 9:30 AM worship service. Light refreshments will be available following worship. Sign-up sheets for the Feb. 9 “Soup”er Soup Sunday will also be available after worship. We will be tasting 8 different soups and voting for our favorites. Pottstown — Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets will offer 1st Sunday Holy Communion at the 10:15 am worship service. The choir anthem is “Ubi Caritas” (where there is true charity God is present) by Bob Hurd. There will be a Congregational meeting following the 10:15 am service
to discuss the sale of the small parking lot across Chestnut Street. Zion’s will again participate in the Super Bowl of Caring Special Offering. Members will bring monetary donations and cans of chunky soup. All donations go to the Cluster. The Women’s Fellowship’s annual Cakeless Bake Sale begins Feb. 1 and continues through the month.
Tabor UMC
Upper Salford — Marketplace Prayer Ministry is the monthly prayer ministry located at a storefront location in the Shelly Square Shopping Center. In February it will be held on Friday, Feb. 7 from 4 to 8 pm. This month the theme will be Discovering God’s Love. The Rev. Lee Corpier will be presenting the message. The shopping center is located at the intersection of Shelly Road and Route 63. You can come when you wish and feel free to leave when you must. From 4 pm to 6:30 pm participants can visit our prayer stations (for all ages), pray alone or request a prayer team to pray with them. Quiet meditative music is provided during this time. Then a time of worship is offered at 6:30 pm followed by an opportunity for participants to receive prayer from prayer teams.
