High St. The last day before the beginning of Lent is called Shrove Tuesday and our tradition at Christ Episcopal Church is to offer a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 5-7 PM as we enjoy a delicious meal of fresh-made pancakes (original, blueberry, or chocolate chip), sausage, fruit salad, and a wide variety of beverages. Pottstown — St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 927 N. Franklin St., will hold Ash Wednesday services on Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. The service will include the sacrament of Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes. Our next All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 8 - 11 a.m. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage, beverage, and baked goodies. Tickets are $6 form Adults; $3.50 for kids ages 6 - 12; and kids age 5 and under are free!

Pottstown — St. John’s UCC, 11 S. Price St., welcomes Beth Eustis back as guest speaker for Transfigur­ation Sunday. Sunday School classes for all ages begins at 9:00 AM and worship follows at 10:15 AM. Ash Wednesday service will be celebrated with a service beginning at 7:30 PM. The congregati­on continues to host the homeless shelter for the month of February. Preparatio­ns are being made for “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” to be held on April 4. All are welcome.

The Ash Wednesday Soup Meal, with three kinds of homemade soups, will be served by the Parish Life Committee in the fellowship Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A free-will offering will benefit the Pottstown Cluster Community Meal Program. Pottstown — Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 60 N. Hanover St. Members will gather at 9:30 AM for morning worship. A special Children’s Message will be offered by Pastor Nichole Jackson, followed by Sunday School. Adult Sunday School and Confirmati­on Class will meet at 8:30 AM. Following worship, the kickoff meeting for the Event Planning Committee will be held. This new group will help with brainstorm­ing ideas, a well as planning and coordinati­ng activities for children and families in our neighborho­od. Activities planned by this group, will continue our ministry of outreach to not only our own members, but also the community. All are welcome.

Pottstown — Kim Adamson will return as supply minister this Sunday for the 10:25 am worship at Zion’s service at United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut Streets while Pastor Austin Chinault is on the Pilgrimage in Israel. The sermon will be “”Jesus Transfigur­ed.” The Handbells under the direction of Music Director will play “The Old Rugged Cross.” Ash Wednesday will be celebrated Feb. 26 at 7:00 pm at Trinity. Pastor Nicole Jackson and Supply Pastor Kim Adamson will provide leadership. Volunteers from Zion’s will prepare and serve the community meal at Emmanuel Lutheran on Friday Feb. 28 at noon. Civil War Re-enactor Pam Donahue will detail the hardships of a farmer’s wife whose husband is away at war and David Bonham will portray General Henry Warner Slocum at the March 3 Women’s Fellowship meeting at 1:30 pm on Tuesday. The first Lenten devotion shared between Zion’s and Trinity will be at noon on March 4 at Zion’s. Pastor Austin and Pastor Nicole will share the meal of soup and bread with us as we begin the preparatio­n for Easter.
