Keller to be a guest at Small Car Saturday

Fresh off his historic victory at the Indoor Classic in Trenton, Jon Keller will be a special guest for the “Small Car Saturday” portion of the Dirt Track Heroes show sponsored by Snydersvil­le Raceway and Oreville Kart Club.

The Cobbs Mill Performanc­e & Fabricatin­g winning car, trophy, and check will be on hand for all the patrons of the Dirt Track Heroes show to see on Saturday at the Palmer Park Mall in Easton. Keller is excited to talk to the crowd not only about the monumental victory but to encourage the young drivers to keep working hard and growing through the ranks of racing. We will also discuss his up and coming plans for the 2020 season. Keller will also have hero cards and sign autographs for all the fans in attendance on Saturday.

Also on Saturday will be the 2nd Annual Premio Foods Sausage Eating Contest with top prize of $100 donated by Pete Telesco of Premio foods. Prizes will also be giving for second and third place. Limited spots for the contest are available as there will be sign ups at the show.

Also, a tire changing competitio­n will take place all three days thanks to Steve Young and the Dirt Track 187 Media Sportsman car. Prizes will be giving away for the top 2 each day with gift certificat­es

from A Step Above Event Planning and many more. Trains and Lanes will not only have an indoor R/C race on a custom-built track but will also have extra cars on hand for the kids to drive and navigate through their course.

The show actually runs March 6th through 8th.

*** Hoosier will present the 2020 season opener at Williams Grove Speedway in just three weeks, slated for Sunday afternoon, March 15 at 2 pm, featuring the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars in a $4,080 to win event.

The 410 sprints are the only division on the racing program with gates opening at noon followed by warm-ups at 1:30 pm.

Courtesy of Hoosier Tires, Hoosier giveaways are slated for the season lid lifter for both fans and racers alike.

Adult general admission for the season opener is set at $16 with youth ages 13 – 20 priced at $10. Kids ages 12 and under are always admitted for FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.

Throughout the upcoming season, as they have for many years, Fast Tees Screenprin­ting of Thompsonto­wn will again be paying $300 to set fast time at all oval time trial events in honor of late speedway champion Jimmy Nace.

The total of Fast Tees Fast Time posted monies will again approach nearly $5,000 in 2020.

Eshenaur & Son fuels of Harrisburg returns to Williams Grove Speedway again in 2020 with the Eshenaur Fuels Last Lap Pass Awards for both regular and visiting open wheel divisions.

Eshenaur’s will again offer a $250 last lap pass award to any driver who makes a last lap pass for the win in the 410 sprint car division while a $100 bonus is posted for last lap pass winners in the 358 sprints.

Eshenaur’s will also offer $100 bonus last lap awards for all 305 sprint races during the season.

In addition, various product certificat­es will be awarded at numerous events during the season including vouchers for Hoosier Tires and Keizer Wheels.

The Clinton County Fair Associatio­n has announced plans for the 2020 racing season at the 3/8th mile dirt oval located in Mill Hall, PA. The Clinton County Motor Speedway will begin its 32nd year of operations.

The Fair Associatio­n has decided to be the operators of the speedway with assistance and guidance of former race promoter Jason McCahan, who promoted the speedway from 2002-2004.

The speedway plans to open on Friday, May 1st with the Limited Late

Models as the headline division. The following week on May 8th, the Racesaver Sprint Cars sanctioned by the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series will be the featured division. The two divisions will share the spotlight throughout the 2020 season.

In addition to the headlining divisions, the 270 Micro Sprints, 600 Micro Sprints, Pro Stock and 4 Cylinder Stock cars will be featured weekly.

“We have had a number of Pro Stock drivers from

Selinsgrov­e Speedway and Port Royal Speedway express an interest in racing Friday nights at Clinton County, so we have made them a weekly division.” added McCahan. “We are doing the same thing with the270 Micro Sprints and 600 Micro Sprints, we believe as a weekly division more drivers can commit to making Clinton County their weekly Friday night speedway.”

The schedule will feature weekly racing from May through September.
