Schwenksville man sought in child porn investigation
NORRISTOWN » A 29-yearold man is wanted in connection with a child pornography investigation, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced.
William McGullam, of Schwenksville, is accused of possessing more than 1,000 images of child pornography, according to a statement from Steele’s office.
An arrest warrant was issued on Sept. 12, 2019, to McGullam’s home on Krause Road.
The warrant for numerous felony counts of possession of child pornography was issued following a months-long investigation, according to Steele.
The Montgomery County Detective Bureau first received a tip in June 2019 from the Delaware County ICAC task force from a cellular app, which reported that a user “had uploaded 10 video files of child pornography,” according to the D.A.’s office.
Investigation findings revealed the tip came from an account being used on a computer in Pottstown, the D.A. said.
The subscriber was later identified as McGullam, according to Steele.
Detectives found 1,073 images “that were determined to be child pornography” on various electronic and storage devices after executing a search warrant on Aug. 8, 2019, to his home, the D.A. said.
McGullam is described as a 5-feet, 11-inches tall weighing about 200 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes, according to the D.A.
He’s also reportedly visited Lower Frederick.
“We have tried multiple avenues to locate McGullam so he can face these charges, but we have come up empty-handed,” Steele said. “We are asking if anyone knows McGullam’s whereabouts to call detectives or anonymously text in a tip.”
Anyone with information about McGullam present location should contact the bureau at 610-278-3368 or send an anonymous tip through the MontcoCrime Tips on the STOPit! app, which is available for Apple and Android users.
Tipsters should download the app and use the “MONTCOPA” code for the local version.
